Act 2, part 1, scene 3. So altogether back to part one: the merchant’s couple arriving, and this would be like a stressful cliff‑hanger or something. Because before this, we now talk about the black elf’s relationship with other black elves or the rest of society.
It is now to the point where she’s the town toy, she’s the park — she’s not even a town bike, she’s the park. People utilise her for their own amusement, for their own self‑detriment. Such that we can remember, not only was she [skipped] by the male elves, but they were drugged. It is now that even the male elves have been affected by this, and the rest of society is also being affected by this new form of entertainment that the lady of the house has created.
So going forward, the black elves of society will be represented by symbols and maybe metaphors of fungus — mushrooms and whatnot — because now not only do they have taste, they are also poisonous. They are medicines, they are tools for moving festering excess, but they are better than plants, and with their own variety, they have their own changes. So that’s the symbol going forward for black elves until we find something better.
Going on to what attributes we can see about them: they’ve become statistics. All the pain and suffering that they’ve had — it’s become statistics. They are clearly a minority, they are clearly having to deal with this situation, and it’s clear to everyone that it is not healthy and it’s derogatory, that they’re dying even. And if they do not fix this, they can either try — they could try killing each other, or they can heal themselves if they fix that. That is the case with the attributes so far.
As for the black elf’s relationship with the main character, Madas the black elf, it is that as the victims of an experiment, some of them are even taken to experimenting with the pleasure [skipped]. As we said before, initially, [skipped] is used as taladynamics as well as a form of entertainment, so they’re also experimenting.
Spokennoise, the government, is a toy. How much of a toy is she to the rest of the world? Because she is not like a protected Spokennoise killing. She is useful but nobody cares for her. So their relationship has been separate. They do not see her as blood, as skin, or as culture, and now she’s even to the point where she is not human.
So we’ve gone from white supremacy to not even degradation. What is the complete opposite of supremacy? That is her existence.
