[SIDE A] DAY 5 – PRESENT & FUTURE (4)
Erected on the Western side of a river, Aurora was a home to most humans before the Purge. After the invasion by Mr. Devil and Ms. Fortitude’s monsters, Aurora had become one of the major battlefronts in the Southern Region. But until several days ago, the Secret Societies had penetrated its defense and successfully took over the whole town.
At the beginning, the town’s people were joyful. However, within a few hours. The attitude from Secret Societies had changed from an international humanity group into a secret religious cult. Their secret police were searching door to door. They arrested most of the “NEET” within the town and brought them to the town hall. According to the rumor, the secret police were looking for someone, who got some kind of special power. But before they could manage to locate that specific personnel, a war had broken out at that moment.
The whole town is littered with gore, bodies and destruction. Red, khaki and gray were the new colors of what was once a beautiful town, which has since become the stage of a devastating war. The air which would normally be filled with the scent of freshly baked bread and the sound of people was heavy with the screams of dying soldiers and the scent of their blood, enough to destroy whatever courage had left in the survivors.
With a certainty of overwhelming power from Angels & Demons, the humans had been pushed back further towards the town hall area by their enemies. Some human beings have succumbed to rage and were on a rampage against every living thing standing in their way, while others were fighting merely for the sake of survival.
The once smooth network of roads that led to the town’s chapel was barely more than a dirt path now and covered in blood and human bodies. Bodies and debris littered the roads within town while the unkempt town’s chapel was cluttered with forsaken possessions. Some houses had collapsed or were destroyed by the army from Angels & Demons.
This town’s chapel was the last safe haven for the town people, or in another word – Human. Unfortunately, this safe haven did not last long enough for most humans to escape. In the end, it had become a slaughterhouse for humans.
There was a little girl inside the chapel. This little girl had a triangular face with a rounded jaw, a small nose, small ears, rosy cheeks and small lips. Her dark red eyes were round with thin eyebrows above them. Her vivid pink hair was hip length and straight, and was highlighted. She wore thin eyeliner, complimentary eyeshadow, glittery lipstick, natural-colored blush and a foundation that gives her the look of a corpse. She had short arms and slender hands, a narrow torso with modest breasts, and short legs. From her looks, she was around eight years old and wore a blood-splattered dress.
She knelt before the altar and was praying.
“One God… Please help us… Please save us from…”
Suddenly, a loud noise had broken the silence within the chapel. The chapel’s roof had been damaged by a blast, and then a Nephilim was descending from the roof. He was flying towards the altar. When he reached that little girl, then his mouth curved into a smile and said.
“Are you kidding me? Or are you just too selfish and naive? Humans! You really did believe One God still exists. Here is a friendly reminder for you - One God is already dead during the Omega War! So, that means every religion in this dimension is lying. Haha…”
Her eyes swam with tears.
“How is that possible? My parents always tell me… Being a good girl…”
He shouted loudly and also interrupted her thoughts.
“Human! It is always possible. Just look at yourself. Aren’t you a copy of it? Don’t you think it is too fragile? Especially, in order to survive at this moment. Muhaha…”
She shook her head.
“But, why? Why are you doing this to us?”
“Why?! That isn’t your concern. By the way, from now on… You shouldn’t ask any questions, since you won’t understand at all. No matter what, we are in control of everything. Muhaha… Now you are mine… All mine… Haha….”
Then, the corner of her mouth quivered.
“Are you sure?”
He turned around and shouted at the chapel’s entrance doors.
“Who’s there?”
The little girl grimaced at him.
“Sigh, I’m here. Right in front of you.”
He glanced over her for a second.
“You?! Haha… a mere child from a human.”
That little girl put her arms around his left thigh. Instantly, the femur crashed into pieces. Then, he stooped and bent towards the little girl. His face was twisted and that indicated he was in a massive pain.
“Who… Are you… Exactly?”
That little girl gave a half smile.
“Oh, me?! Umm… My name is…”
Meanwhile, she put her hands near his ears and his skull had begun to heavily deformed.
“Sorry, I squished your head. Haha…”
She examined herself carefully and said.
“Umm…Why this body? This isn’t very convenient though. Oh well, I need to find him as soon as possible. Otherwise, he might fall into someone’s hands.”
Suddenly, she glanced around the chapel.
“Something isn’t right. I could almost feel it…”
At this moment, the chapel’s door had opened. A man was running towards her. He was short and fat with cream skin. He also had deep black eyes and he had closely shaved black hair. He wore unwashed, casual clothes that were well-fitting.
When he got closer, he saw that little girl. Clearly, the terror overtook over his face. He made a stop in front of the altar. Then, he glanced over his shoulder.
Later, he inhaled a sharp breath and said.
“Little girl, leave this chapel now!”
She examined him closely.
“Why?”
He glanced around once more and then answered.
“You better leave at once… They are after me. It is quite dangerous for you to stay here.”
“You came here to hide?”
“Yes, please leave this chapel at once.”
The little girl rolled her eyes.
“But, why do I have to leave here?”
His forehead furrowed.
“Because they will slaughter any human beings in front of them.”
“You mean the Nephilim?”
“No! No time to explain further. Please, leave the chapel now.”
All of a sudden, a beautiful lady around her mid-twenty with long black hair and brown eyes had entered the chapel. She was tall and skinny with smooth glossy pale skin. She wore a pink Lolita princess dress with a lace bow apron.
That lady glanced around and said.
“Hello? Yoshi, where… are… you? Oh… Yoshi, you are here.”
A fear crossed Yoshi’s face.
“Please, get away from me. You are one of them.”
That lady gave a half smile.
“Oh well, in order to fulfill the ritual. You must keep dying again and again until the power is weakened. Then, you could become our Lord. Afterwards, you can have anything you desire in this dimension. Money… Power… Even you can have me too… Hehe… My love, you must die. Muhaha…”
Yoshi shouted at the lady.
“Shiroi, I don’t want to. Just leave me alone, please.”
Shiroi rolled her eyes and replied.
“Oh well, you leave me no chance… I must keep on killing you until our Lord takes over your body.”
Suddenly, Shirio dashed toward Yoshi’s left side. When Yoshi had realized that, Shirio was just several steps away from him. It was too late now. Shirio had thrown some punches towards his head. Although, those punches looked normal. However, they were far more than enough to kill off a normal human being.
At this moment, Yoshi knew he could not do anything. It was because he was just a normal human being. So, he squeezed his eyes shut and waited for his death to come. Several minutes later, he was puzzled. It was because he did not feel any pain. He was wondering for a moment. Then, Yoshi heard the little girl’s voice.
“Your punches are weak though…”
Those punches had been stopped by that little girl. So, Shirio glanced down at the little girl and replied.
“Hey little brat! Obviously, I don’t need to show off my full strength in order to kill a human being, right?”
The little girl smirked.
“Noob.”
Shirio glowered and a vein popped out in her neck.
“Then, try to intercept this.”

I was following Shirio until we entered the town hall’s main lobby. She was walking faster and faster once we had entered the town hall. There were so many doors and corners along the main corridor and I was so bad with directions. So, a while later. I found myself lost inside the main corridor. I had completely no idea where Shirio went or where I was.
I kept walking down the corridor for a while. But, it seemed this corridor would never end. I glanced around several times and I noticed that there was no one in this building. However, I must find Shirio first before I get into trouble once again. So, I just picked a door and opened it. Then, I saw this fat boy. He was eating something. I believed that something was a human torso. Suddenly, I felt pain from my belly.
I never thought it would end like this, blood slid along my body, beneath my clothes and down to the marble floor. It was getting harder to breathe, why was it getting harder to breathe? I should move, but I could not make my body move at all. I was standing, I was still standing. My legs begged me to give in, to let go and drop to the marble floor.
Was there really no way out of this mess? I was tired, so tired. But I could not give in, I could not sleep. To sleep means to die, I must stay strong. But my body could not take it anymore. Perhaps, I should just close my eyes for a while. I could not feel my legs or my arms, in fact I could not feel anything anymore. Nothing at all. It was somewhat comforting, at least I felt no pain. I felt nothing at all.
Then, I heard a familiar voice and it was from someone I knew. Yes, it is Shirio’s voice. But, something was not right. It seemed she was not helping me. She was talking to that fat boy.
“Argh… What have you done? Are you stupid?”
“Sorry, I didn’t notice that it was him. You know, my reflexes are too fast. Once, I noticed that. It was too late.”
“Argh… I’m very angry now. The ritual didn’t even start yet. Look, he is dying. If he died right here, then you go to Professor Azrael and explain this to him. I will not take any responsibility for this.”
“But, Sandalphon… Aren’t you supposed to escort him?”
“Argh, don’t call out my name. I had an alias, you knew that, right?”
“Sorry, Sand… Oops, Shirio, I thought someone was spying on us. You know, we had slaughtered every human being within this town. So, there won’t be any humans left.”
“Uriel, you always like that. Dumb ass! What is your assignment?”
“Umm… Secretly protect you and him, when the two of you arrived in Aurora.”
“What’s next?”
“Secretly escort the two of you out of Aurora.”
“Now, you killed him.”
“But, aren’t you with him all the time?”
“Sigh, he got lost and I was looking for him.”
“Don’t worry, our Lord will be awakening soon.”
“WTF are you talking about? It’ll only work when he’s unconscious. Look at him now. Is he unconscious?”
“Nope.”
“Lucky, I could cure his wounds. Otherwise, we are all screwed by you.”
“Sorry, my bad.”
“Sigh, never mind.”
Afterwards, I felt warm around my belly. Then, I could stand up on my own. Once, I got up on my feet. I immediately started to get away from them. I opened the window and jumped. I knew that I was in danger now. It seemed Shirio was not the right person that would help me.
I did not look back. I just kept on running on the street and I had no idea where I would end up. But, at least I felt that this was the right direction. Until, I had reached the town’s chapel. Was this the dead end for me?! So, I opened the door and entered. I was hoping that I could find a place to hide myself.
Surprisingly, I saw a little girl. This little girl was standing near the altar. Was she praying?! Never mind, I had no time to think. So, I went up to her and told her to leave the chapel immediately. Since, her life would be in danger once Shirio had arrived. However, it seemed this little girl just did not understand what I was talking about. She only rolled her eyes and asked me a question.
“But, why do I have to leave here?”
