Words
Prompted by the guildmaster's words, I too focus my consciousness on the sphere of light. Then, a strange sensation courses through my entire body. It is sensory information beyond words. Vision, hearing, touch... perhaps it could be called a more fundamental perception, transcending all of those.
It felt as if the universe itself had entered my consciousness. The magnificent cosmic vistas woven by countless stars, the swirling beauty of nebulae, and the invisible currents of energy connecting them all... everything was projected into my mind with vivid clarity and overwhelming scale.
For a while, I was captivated by this overwhelming spectacle, but gradually, I realized that within this information, a certain kind of “message” was contained. It came not as words, but as images, sensations, and emotions.
The creation of the universe, the birth of life, and the rise and fall of civilizations... all of it flowed into my mind as one grand narrative. And at the end of that story, a single question surfaced.
“...Why do we exist...?”
That question made me keenly aware of the vastness of the universe and the fragility of life. The Guildmaster gazed at my face, seemingly noticing my change. His eyes held deep empathy mixed with a faint unease.
It was difficult for me to put into words the message I had received from the universe. But its core essence is this: this sphere of light is attempting to show us the answer.
“Guildmaster... this light... is trying to tell us something... It might be... the purpose... of the universe...”
At my words, the Guildmaster slowly nodded. “...It might be... Mitam... This light... Where exactly is it leading us...”
His voice held both hope and unease. I too wanted to know the answer. Where this sphere of light would lead us, and what lay beyond... That remained unknown. Yet we were resolved to seek that answer together. The door to an unknown journey was about to open.
