The Elder

“Elder, I accept your request. Please let me unravel the mystery of the Ancient Temple of the Wind.” I reply to the Elder. He smiles with satisfaction at my resolve. “As expected of Mitamu. I have faith that you will surely break the temple’s seal and awaken its slumbering knowledge.”

I listened as the Elder gave me detailed information about the Ancient Temple of the Wind. He told me the temple is located far from the City of Wind, in a land where fierce winds constantly rage, and that its entrance is protected by a powerful barrier. It seems we’ll need to borrow the power of the wind spirits to break the barrier, but apparently, no detailed records remain on how to do so.

I decide to return to the library in the City of Winds first to gather information about the Temple of the Wind. I collect and analyze every piece of information I can find, including “The History of the Temple of the Wind,” “The Temple’s Structure,” “The Nature of the Barrier,” and “Records of Those Who Have Challenged the Temple in the Past.” I also speak with the librarians and other wizards to search for clues.

After several days of investigation, I uncover some crucial information. First, the barrier of the Temple of the Wind can be weakened by appeasing the wrath of the Wind Spirits. Records show that those who challenged the temple in the past failed because they tried to break the barrier by force, thereby incurring the wrath of the Wind Spirits. Second, deep within the temple lies the King of the Wind Spirits, and if I can gain his approval, there is a possibility that the barrier can be completely lifted.

I decide to summon Sylphide once more by playing the song of the wind spirits and ask for her help in lifting the temple’s barrier. In a room in the library, I take up my harp and begin to play, and Sylphide appears again. “Mitam, what is the matter?” Sylphide asks me. I explain the situation regarding the temple’s barrier and ask for her help. After thinking for a moment, Sylphide replies. “The temple’s barrier is reinforced by the wrath of the wind spirits. To lift the barrier, we must first appease that wrath. To do so, we must express our gratitude to the wind spirits and respect their power.”

Sylphide teaches me a special melody to convey my gratitude to the wind spirits. It is a sacred tune that can only be played on the Harp of Atlantis. I practice the melody Sylphide taught me until I can play it perfectly.

Once I am ready, I set out from the City of Winds and head toward the Ancient Temple of the Wind. The journey from the City of Winds to the temple takes several days. I press on relentlessly through the wilderness, where fierce winds rage. Along the way, I am sometimes attacked by wind monsters and bandits, but I repel them with wind magic and the power of my lyre.

As I approach the temple, the wind grows ever stronger. A massive tornado swirls around the temple, making it difficult to even get close. Playing the melody Sylphide taught me, I press forward into the tornado. The sound of my lyre calms the winds of the tornado and clears a path for me.

Finally, I reach the temple’s entrance. The entrance is blocked by a massive boulder, and a barrier engraved with intricate patterns spans across it. I raise the Harp of Atlantis and play a melody to express my gratitude to the wind spirits. As the harp’s melody echoes throughout the temple, the barrier gradually weakens. Finally, the barrier vanishes completely, the boulder crumbles, and the temple’s entrance opens. I take a deep breath and step inside the temple.
