File6. “GOKURAKU JYODO” is “the Multiverse”, isn’t it?
GOKURAKU JYODO is the Heaven of Buddhism but its definition is a little different from that of Christianity. Buddhism explains that a human soul will escape from the circle of reincarnation and get eternal life in GOKURAKU. In GOKURAKU there are no disease, no death, no pain, no distress. How can we explain GOKURAKU in the words of Particle Physics? It might be the world which all matters and anti-matters are annihilated and only true vacuum energy is existing like before Big Bann.
According to Buddhism, the Universe itself will reincarnate between “Nothing” and “Existing” like a pendulum. Before Big Bann only true vacuum energy had been existing, that world should be GOKURAKU, the desirable style of Universe. Buddhism tells us that Big Bann created the world filled by matters, particles, atoms, bodies and humans. Our world was emerged because Atman was divided from Brahman.
Such Buddhism’s teachings suggests us very important expectation namely “Multiverse”. If the Universe is not only one and there are enormous number of other Universes, then the Time could be eternal and the Space might be endless. No end and no death.
Some Cosmophysicists are expecting ”Multiverse”, which is described like balloons bearing one after another. Our Universe is only one of such balloons. And also Cosmophysicists expect that Physical Laws of each Universe will completely different from that of our world. They say that only 1 percent differential of gravity strength or light speed will enable to destroy our world completely.
However it might be the most important that “Energy” can survive in all the places. Energy can keep existing through all Multiverse. Whatever the Physical Laws is tough, energy cannot be destroyed. “Energy” is the very thing that Buddhism calls “Soul”. If we abandon bodies and become souls, or the Universe abandons matters and becomes energy, then we or Universe can get eternal lives. This is the very world which we calls "GOKURAKU".
