File5. Why is Number “6” ominous?
In Christianity Number “6” is believed ominous because of “Number of Beasts”. Also in Buddhism this number has special meaning. Human soles are said to reincarnate in “RIKUDO” namely “Six Roads or Worlds” depending on their acts during lifetimes. Six roads are Heaven, Human, Beast, Hell, Asura and Demon. Another example is “ROKUMONSEN” namely “Six Pence Coins” which is believed necessary to pass through “SANZUNOKAWA” namely “Passage to Heaven”.
Actually Number “6” is also very special for the modern Particle Physics “Superstring Theory”. Superstring Theory is assuming that there are 10 Dimensions in the Universe. We are now living in three dimensions Space and one more dimension, Time. If we subtract these 4 dimensions from 10, we can get 6. Then where are such 6 dimensions existing? According to Superstring such 6 dimensions are folded and hidden at every extremely small “Planck Scale” point of Space. The scale would be as small as the minus 35 power of 10 meters.
Of course we cannot see such small scale and cannot move to extra dimensions. It is just mathematically or theoretically led conclusion. But we have some close evidence which can support such assumption. It is “Regular Hexagon”.
Snow Crystal, Benzene Ring and Light Emission etc. are automatically organized as a form of Regular Hexagon. Many scientists have made plausible explanation for these phenomenon but failed to reach satisfactory one. According to the Superstring only the gravity can seep out from extra dimensions into our world by “Graviton”, a kind of gauge particles. Assuming 6 dimensions, we could make persuasive explanation for “Regular Hexagon Phenomenon”. If the Graviton is discovered, existence of 6 dimensions might be proved.
Then why is the Number “6” ominous? Superstring expects that various physical conditions in extra dimensions might be completely different from those of our world and we or everything of this world could not survive in extra dimensions and might completely disappear. However we cannot actually look into the extra dimensions and we never know what will really happen in such dimensions. Though “Ominous” was be created as the religious term, it might contain something unknowns about “6”.
