7.Carl's Penance
The junkie hangout in the park is surrounded by police officers.
Carl sent out an emergency transmission to Bill just before he lost cosciousness.
Bill receives the transmission and explains the situation to Angela.
Angela spoke to a local detective, Joy Hinch.
Joy is besieging the junkie hangout with police officers to rescue Nat.
Joy is a horse man and proud man.
So Joy is not happy with Angela's advice to let Bill and others handle the fast-moving enemy.
Joy says to Bill. "We'll take the first one."
Bill says. "Okay."
Joy says over the speaker to some tents where the junkies hangout. "Help us investigate the kidnapping."
The shooting starts from inside the tents.
The surrounding police officers also start shooting.
The large man breaks the siege from the junkie hangout.
Of course, Joy and others shoot, but they don't hit.
Joy says. "You're up."
Yotsuo and Bill chase after the large man.
Once again, the first man breaks the siege from the junkie hangout.
Yaeko chases after the man.
The large man throws a smoke ball at Yotsuo, who is chasing the large man Kenneth, and takes away Yotsuo's vision.
Then Kenneth gave Bill a powerful kick.
Bill is brown away and loses cosciousness.
Kenneth produced blades from both hands of his slim power and attacks Yotsuo.

Kenneth shouts. "Die!"

Pal is also wearing slim power and hiding.

Yotsuo asks. "Is Bill before？"

Bill and Yotsuo had told had told the drug man that the only way to defeat such a monster was to bleed profusely.
So Yotsuo asks if Bill's memory has returned.
However, Bill collapses into unconsciousness.
In Bill's body, there are two mind:the former Bill's mind and Makoto's mind.
Bill's mind says. "If you don't get stronger, you'll die again."
Makoto's mind asks. "Can you not be resurrected？"
Bill's mind says. "It's hard. I'm like a ghost."
Makoto's mind asks. "What do I need to do？"
Bill's mind says. "Talk to Yaeko."
Bill's mind disappears and Bill collapses.
Yaeko didn't catch the man.
Nat was already on the move.
Carl enters the church. Carl is going to pray to God for Nat's safety and for Nat's discovery.
There is a stained glass window of a scene where Ieshua rescues a chased prostitute.
At that moment, Carl remembered that when he was a child, his mother told him that a sinner must repent before he can get his wish.
Carl knelt down.
Carl asks. "Is it so terrible what I did to my daughter？"
Carl asks further. "Am I such a terrible father？"
Carl doesn't get any answers.
Pal appears.
Carl asks Pal. "Nat didn't say anything when she saw me. Is a terrible father to her？"
Pal doesn't say.
Carl asks. "What do you think？"
Pal says. "Penance that doesn't change behavior is the same as an execuse."
Carl says. "Okay."
