How to select an important information from the flood of information in the world
This is just an English version, which is the same as the previous article.
Don’t think, feel!
Who said the word?
Whereas, now, we are in the situation where we may be exposed to flood of information in literally ‘world wide’ web (wave). So, we need to deeply think to judge if the information is reliable or not.
You can easily just say the article is for your opinion, or against your opinion. Also, you can reply a negative comment to an article just because the other article showed the opposite idea that you agreed. Even if you do not understand the article, you can do those, since nobody tests you if you totally understand the background and idea in the article.
I believe, and all scientists would agree to me, that the important is to understand the article in the part of background, the facts and opinion in separate.
Some newspapers might just show a part of the facts, which were sometimes biased by the writer, while the data themselves should be true. So, if you can judge if the fact is the fact, it is no problem. However, somebody might misunderstand the article is totally right. The writer can discuss their own idea, which sometimes are reasonable, while are just a prejudges of them. If you can judge how reliable they are, it is OK, but somebody cannot.
Whereas, in order to understand the fact and writer’s opinion in separate, the background is so important.
I realize that the background of science is simple, as scientific evidences are basically based on science, but that it is difficult to understand the background of economics and politics, because I feel they are not based on a scientific evidence.
We need study hard to understand background of anything, while nowadays we can study easily as there are lot of tools to obtain information. On the other hand, the information in www is not always right, the idea of the guys who have power and money is not always right, and the idea of majority is not always right, either.
We need to pay attention to what is indeed ‘true’ when we study.
Anyway, even if you understand the fact and background, your knowledge is not for attacking the ideas of the others. Your idea is your justice. And, the others also have their justice. The war occurs when two justices are opposed each other.
I agree that “Concealing your justice in your mind is better than showing it”.
Thank you for reading this essay.
I hope my idea could help you in the future.
Cheers,
Haruka
