アンドロイド スマホのアプリで使用しているライブラリーのライセンス表示について
最初に、以降に書かれている情報は誤っている可能性が有りますので、すみませんが、参考や利用は自己責任で御願いいたします。
ライセンスによっては、ライセンス表示などをする事によって、他の人のライブラリーを同梱して利用して再配布して自分のアプリを公開して配布する事ができます。
例えば、Android Studioでデフォルトで使用する事に成る、パッケージの名前の先頭が「androidx.」であるGoogleのアンドロイドの標準拡張ライブラリーと、その他のGoogleのライブラリーを使用している場合は、公開する場合は、ライセンスを表示する必要が有るようです。
ライセンスによって異なりますが、.apkファイルを公開する場合は、アプリの画面でライセンスを表示する必要が有ります。
ライセンスによって異なりますが、.ktファイルなどのソース コードを公開する場合は、「NOTICEファイル」と呼ばれている、例えば「NOTICE.txt」などの名前のテキストファイルにライセンス表示を書いて一緒に公開する必要が有るみたいです。
GoogleはApacheライセンス バージョン2.0を優先しているそうなので、GoogleのライブラリーのライセンスはApacheライセンス バージョン2.0の場合が多いです。
Javaのオープン ソースのライブラリーもApacheライセンス バージョン2.0の場合が多いらしいです。
ちなみに、Rust言語と、JavaScript言語などのライブラリーはMITライセンスの場合が有ります。
さらに、ちなみに、JavaScript言語のライブラリーをダウンロードするHTMLファイルの場合は、HTMLファイル内にライセンス表示を記述する必要が有るようです。
もしかしたら、Python言語の.pyファイル内などにもライセンス表示を記述した方が良いのかもしれませんが、記述していない人が多いみたいです。
2025年時点では、Apacheライセンス バージョン2.0とMITライセンスの2つがオープン ソースでは人気のライセンスのようです。
アンドロイド スマホのアプリが直接使用しているライブラリーを知るには、app/build.gradleファイルのdependenciesブロックのimplementationを見ます。
Apacheライセンス バージョン2.0のライセンス表示は、「当アプリは次のライブラリーを使用しています。」などの説明文と、ライブラリー名とライセンスの一覧と、Apacheライセンス バージョン2.0のライセンス文などを記述します。
直接使用ライブラリーだけではなく、間接使用ライブラリーも書いた方が良いのですが、膨大で複雑で重複もしたりするので、人力では困難なため、ライブラリーの依存関係を調べるアプリケーションが有るので、それの使用をおすすめします。ただし、そのライブラリーが、どのライセンスかは人力でウェブ検索して調べる必要が有ります。
ライブラリーの開発者名なども記述した方が良いそうです。
ちなみに、Googleのアンドロイドのライブラリーの開発者名は「The Android Open Source Project」のようです。
Apacheライセンス バージョン2.0のライセンス文ではなく、ライセンス文のウェブ ページのURLやリンクを記述する人もいるようです。
アプリ内の画面でライセンスを表示する場合は、半角二重引用符(")のエスケープや、HTMLエスケープなどをする必要が有る場合が有ります。

アプリの画面でライセンス表示する場合は、例えば、ライセンス表示画面と、ライセンス表示画面のアクティビティと、ライセンス表示ボタンと、戻るボタンなどを追加する必要が有ります。
アプリの最初の画面の下部に十分な余白が有る場合は、アプリの最初の画面を設定するXMLファイルで、スクロール ビューで囲んだテキスト ビューを追加する方法も有ります。

MITライセンスは、ライセンス文のウェブ ページのURLかリンクを書く方が楽なので、ライセンス文のウェブ ページのURLかリンクを書いている人が多いようです。
