Chapter 8 – The Roar of Eternity
Darkness and light wove together in Riku’s veins. With the Eyes of Insight sewn into his soul, he felt every lie tremble, every hidden motive laid bare. But knowing truth is one thing — controlling it is another entirely.
Tonight, Riku will call upon the power he earned. He will unleash the Roar of Eternity.
A revolution in his power, and the first tremor felt by those who walk this world of skill and magic.
Welcome to Chapter 8 — The Roar of Eternity.

Chapter 8 – The Roar of Eternity
The air around Riku shimmered as the portal closed behind him. He stood on a rocky plateau at the edge of the Necromancer’s world—an open expanse beneath a violet sky streaked with two glowing moons. The Dragon of Eternity’s presence pulsed faintly within his chest, like a second heartbeat.
> “You feel it, don’t you?”
The dragon’s deep voice rumbled inside his mind.
“The bond is young, but my essence flows through you. Test it. Let your body taste eternity’s roar.”
Riku tightened his fists. “Test it… how?”
> “Call my name. Let the roar out. But control it—or it will break you.”
He closed his eyes and whispered, “Dragon of Eternity…”
The ground trembled. A surge of black-and-gold light burst from his body, swirling upward like a tornado of shadow and flame.
“Dragon’s Roar!”
A deafening shockwave exploded outward. Rocks cracked, dust spiraled into the air, and the trees at the plateau’s edge bent as if struck by a hurricane. Riku felt the force tear at his skin and soul, but he held his ground.
When the echo faded, silence followed—a silence so deep it made his ears ring.
“…I…did it.” His knees shook, but a grin crept across his face. “I really did it.”
> “Not bad, little human,” the dragon rumbled approvingly. “But remember—power without control is chaos. Learn to wield it, or you will destroy what you wish to protect.”
A sudden rustle broke the quiet. Riku turned sharply.
From the treeline emerged a figure—a young man with silver hair and amber eyes, carrying a spear glowing faintly with blue runes. His presence was sharp, like a blade wrapped in calm.
“I thought I sensed something strange,” the stranger said, his tone curious but not hostile. “That roar… it wasn’t natural. Who are you?”
Riku stepped back slightly. His instinct told him this person wasn’t an enemy, but his aura radiated strength.
“…Riku,” he answered cautiously. “I’m… training.”
The silver-haired youth smiled faintly. “Training? With a force like that? Interesting. My name is Kael. Maybe we’ll cross paths again.”
Without another word, Kael leapt back into the forest, leaving only the faint hum of his magic behind.
Riku exhaled. His heart still raced—not from fear, but excitement.
A world where people like him wield this kind of power… I have to keep up. No—I have to surpass it.
> “Good,” the dragon’s voice echoed. “That spark in your eyes… that is the beginning of eternity.”

Riku stared at the glowing screen and clenched his fists.
“Level up again… good. But Kael…”
His mind replayed the silver-haired warrior’s calm strength.
“That guy was on a whole different level. If I want to stand equal… I need to train harder. Much harder.”
The Dragon’s voice rumbled, low and approving.
> “Then let us begin.”
The night sky above shimmered as the two moons glowed brighter—witnesses to the boy who refused to remain weak.

✨ End of Chapter 8
---
Thank you for staying with Riku through Chapter 8.
This chapter was all about testing limits — both internal and external. I wanted to explore a moment where Riku truly feels power surging through him, but also realizes how dangerous raw strength can be. The dragon’s bond isn’t just a gift; it’s a burden that needs control and responsibility.
Also, meeting Kael was important. I wanted to introduce a rival who isn’t a villain but a benchmark — someone whose skill pushes Riku forward. From now on, Riku’s growth will be shaped not only by his internal trials but also by the people around him (friends, rivals, allies).
We’re stepping into a bigger scale now. Powers will clash, decisions will have consequences, and Riku has to decide what kind of disciple he will become.
