The air around Riku shimmered as the portal closed behind him. He stood on a rocky plateau at the edge of the Necromancer’s world—an open expanse beneath a violet sky streaked with two glowing moons. The Dragon of Eternity’s presence pulsed faintly within his chest, like a second heartbeat.

The dragon’s deep voice rumbled inside his mind.

Riku tightened his fists. “Test it… how?”

He closed his eyes and whispered, “Dragon of Eternity…”
The ground trembled. A surge of black-and-gold light burst from his body, swirling upward like a tornado of shadow and flame.
“Dragon’s Roar!”
