Chapter 12 - A Worthy Castle For A Lord
William and variys charge back at her as three of them start Throwing blows . William using his Excalibur , variys his shadow Sword and valerya using her Spear . even thou She managed to give them a hard Time attacking them viciously . they didn't stand back , instead they just kept Swinging their swords like there was no tomorrow . And as she Was about to make a fatal blow on William . Cana hits her with another blast using the crystal chanting
“ Angel Burst !! “
" You bitch ... Don't you dare interfere !! " Shouts valerya as she attacks her
" Black Fire !! "
Cana Gets hit with the blast dropping her crystal and Celestine quickly runs to Help using a healing incantation but valerya doesn’t let her as she went to attack them both , leaving the guys off her sight for a brief moment while the girls avoided her blast & they took this chance to come up with a plan on sight .
Variys tells William That they need to finish her now or never , they can’t keep going with this dog fight , they will just end up sacrificing their whole mana for nothing .
“ I Can Do it , but she is way Too fast for me . If only we can pinpoint her in a place so that I could use my ultimate technique . also there is That damn Spear . It's way To strong even stronger than my Excalibur somehow . we need to take Care of it . “ said William & Variys thinks for a brief moment then an evil smirk is drawn on his face .
“what’s with that creepy look . “ “ I just got an idea , try to keep up with me ok !! “ “ huh , what are you going to do ??!! “ asked him William .
" Oiii Valerya " shouted variys for her allowing the girls to back off & take a breath after she switched her attention to him .
" I thought about your offer . And as i think that I was being tooharsh on you , it seems to me That you have a bad habit with trying to pursue other people to join you . Could it be That you probably feel alone , if so then you should see someone who could help you with that . "

" you damn insulting Piece of. ... Do you know who you talking too ...I will end your life . leaving nothing but rotted flesh for the crows to feast on " she shouts
William takes a brief moment wondering about variys’s weird speech but quickly catches UP to his plan.
" Ooooh That right !! . Variys san has a point . After all you took control over me and tried to do the same with others .... Could it be That you have a problem with keeping your man around . " he said while walking towards her
Cana , Naomi & Celestine are Wondering what's going on . Why are they trying to upset her even more , whatever their doing it’s probably won’t help with the fight since affronting her will only increase her rage & they have it hard enough as it is .

But William doesn't move an inch even though cana Shouted for him to dodge . yet he didn’t , instead variys jumps before him to take the spear head on while smirking
“ foolish Hag , You Fell Right through my Trap … BLACK HOLE ! ! ” he chanted creating the same black magical circle as before , the one that could absorb any kind of attack whether it be magical or physical .
The Spear reached the black holes but doesn't enter as valerya has stopped it right at the perfect time , it was right there William realized that she can control it from a far .
" You sneaky bastard !!! That was your plan all alone, smart , I will give you that But you underestimated me !! And you will pay a High prize for That "
" I haven't underestimate you a bit. On the contrary , It's you who underestimated me …And my Friends !!! " As he said That valerya noticed the black holes became bigger a more Powerful .
" Impossible ... You shouldn't have enough Magic for this .... huh , could it be …’’
suddenly she realized the true reason behind this unbelievable power up , it can only be the result of naomi’s standing from aside elevating variy’s spell range using her incantation “ E …. Enchant ?!! “ she said in shock Followed by The Spear Getting completely absorbed by the hole but due to the massive power up & Naomi is now weakened as she used all her Magic power with That enchant spell to make variy’s Magic Boost Again.
" You ...You girls just keep interfering ...I have to take Care of you first ...’’ she said charging at Naomi .

As she jumps to strike her Naomi , Celestine quickly grabs the crystal That was on the ground and blasts her with the holy Ray sending her crashing to the wall valerya quickly brushes the dust off her & tries to stand again only to notice a Big Black Smoke around her made by variys who is now wielding kinshi’s sword.
The Darkness formed all around her blurring the sight in the room enough so that she doesn’t notice her surroundings
" You idiot , you really think a smoke Can hurt me , I’m a dark magic user so This spell is basically useless against me .. " she said & Variys simpers in an evil manner .
" it can't hurt you ... But at least you didn't notice my final Trump card "
" Huh..... " wondering what variys is saying she suddenly feels an evil presence lurking behind her . Like something unfamiliar & strange is staring at her from distance .but she can’t pin point where it really is thank to the smoke as it also have the ability to hide the presence of other ‘people’.
“ I wanted to try this spell ever since i came here . “ he said as glowing green Eyes Started to appear from the smoke behind valerya without her notice .
" IRON MAIDEN !! "
variys screamed chanting And from the Shadow appeared an Iron statue of a giant woman . The statue opened from the inside out . and charged at valerya placing her inside before she could even react . Then closing Again as chains began to roll around the maiden making it even futile to escape .
" What the Hell is this !! You still had Magic left ... But this is nothing . i will just ... " she said as she tried to break out using her magic , but it was useless as Variys Stated
" it's no use . Iron Maiden is a special spell , it is not an attack spell nor a defense one . It's made only for the purpose to keep the enemy inside until the user is out of Magic power . It can't be broken by any types of Magic .... Except .... "
As he said That Valerya catches a glimpse of white light coming from outside the statue , it took her a moment but she eventually realized how much of a big trouble she was in , and as soon as she saw where that light was coming from she immediately started banging on the statue with all her strength trying to break off .
" Let me out ... Let me out Right Now i Command you ... Let me out !!!!!! " She shouted while the light kept shinning and shinning even more .
" Thank You variys san , I’m all ready now "
said William while charging his next attack using The Excalibur & Naomi couldn’t be more astonished by how the tables quickly have turned around.
" So That was their plan all along .... For God sake. Alone they didn't stand a chance, But together ... they made her give up her most powerful weapon and managed to pin point her in one place Enough For William San To Use His Ultimate Technique "
"Now William , I Can’t Hold Much Longer " Shouts variys .
" No …. wait …. I’m , I’m sorry okay ... Please ... I ... I ... I didn't mean too ... Let me out Please . " Shouts valerya as she realizes that there is no escape for What's to Come .
" No need to apologies . Your fate was written when you hurt my friends and used those people against their will . And you will pay for all the pain you made them go through . consider this a parting gift from the New Demon Lord In Charge ." said variys while William was powering up his attack right before he caught a glimpse at the wall , the same wall That valerya threatened him That he will be part of if he Failed her . The wall who had many people captive .
" You will not hurt anyone ever Again . valerya ishigar !! " said William as She screamed and banged on the statue even more but William Shout was way louder than hers
" EXCALIBUR !!!!! "
He Yelled Blasting The Iron Maiden With A Great Holly Beam that promulgated from His Sword . That attack was so strong & Powerful that it Took Down both the statue and Valerya at the same Time in an instant . It even went as far and destroyed the roof of the whole Upper Hall of the castle Making Its Way All Up in the Cloudy Sky .
Soon After the attack was done , the Sky cleared and the light of the sun went into the inside of the castle . Probably for once in many years.
variys tried to stand up after he dropped on his knees from using way to much mana but couldn’t from being too wormed out & Fatigued. William Reached Out To Him With a Smile

variys reaches back to William & get back up on his feet Laughing but before they could take their breath & put their mind at ease a cracking noise Could be Heard putting them both on alert mode again as they got ready for another round .

They turned back to the walls Where faces of dead people were carved in there . And noticed That the Barrier is slowly cracking Down in a menacing manner. Only for the those people to Reveal Themselves as innocent bystanders who don’t understand why or how they even go into this place .
William Stated is in shock " They came back to life !! "
Variys reply with a smile " no .. they were never dead ... She Was using them as life force ... That's why she Was Always taking hostages . that’s why she was that powerful & always able to use the strongest spells , it’s because she used these people like they were some sort of a mana-vessels for her to take as much as she wanted "
" so … all the people who disappeared from their families .... " said Cana

As they started arguing Naomi takes a deep breath .
" sigh , here we go again . Just when i Got used to them being Friends and all .."
" It can't be helped onee sama . William san is a Hero & Variys sama is a Demon Lord " Said Celestine cracking a smile
" You are probably right . We shouldn't get our hopes up "
After Their Little argument Celestine intervenes & told variys That they need to go down and Help shizone .
Variys takes a look and with a smile he replied saying That this won't be necessary . while pointing at the door.
" Huh what do you mean ??!! “ She said while turning around only to see shizone bleeding while holding her father on her shoulder .
" Shizone san !! Thank God you’re ok " said Cana
" Yeah , I’m glad that you guys are safe too & Valerya ?? "
“ We Took Care Of Her !! ‘’
“So , You Are Variys San Huh … “ said Shizone’s Father as he walked towards him barely able to stand .

‘’ Shizone explained everything to me , and I will be forever in your dept. “he said while raising the Hilt of his sword towards variys , showing him a sign of respect & appreciation .
Variys Looks Back To The Now Completely Destroyed Castle With a Smile of relief , without him realizing , he was in a strange way on a one long Hard quest ever since he came to be on this world & he wasn’t able to clear it , right until this moment ….
Few days later Variys , Naomi , Cana & Celestine left the capital after visiting The Darak Knights in the hospital & checking on their health , they seemed to be getting better after their fight with zafir & they also got praised by the king for taking down such a dangerous criminal off the wanted list
they also promised variys that they will be happy to fight alongside him in case he even needed their help in the future , they also said their goodbye to William and shizone . since both of them are residents in the capital & can’t join variys on his next journey .
“ I had fun Fighting you , but it was my pleasure to fight next to you , partner !” said William
“ what did I just said to you , stop calling me partner for god’s sake , this really could hurt my reputation ! “
“ yeah, yeah I got it , but just to let you know , if I ever heard that you were making trouble , I would be the first one to come & kick your ass “

“ Variys Dono , I can’t thank you enough for what you did to me , you helped get something I thought I lost forever, I will be in your debt for ever. “
“ don’t mention it , I just did what I had to do . & you never know, I might need the help of a strong Swords-woman in the future . “
“ of course , I will always be ready to fight next to you , and Until then ….please accept this parting gift ….” She said
“ a parting g… “ before variys could even finish his sentence shizone jumps to his side and offers him a long passionate kiss on the cheek . caught by surprise , variys was speechless to this act as he never saw it coming from shizone , yet she did it & stepped back blushing , leaving the girls stargazed as they realize that they have let their guard down once again & shizone might have joined the competition without them realizing . with that awkward but cute final act from her . Variys decide to leave to nozomu , waving goodbye to both his comrades with his back turned around .
