I pressed the buttons of my cellphone with trembling hands.
I waited for awhile and thought he was absent. However, he answered the phone, saying “Hello?”
My heartbeat grew faster. “Uh, hi Kazuya. It’s not a big deal but...”
“Huh?”
“I just wanted to say thanks, for always being with me. It’s been three months since we started going out. These three months have been the happiest three months in my life. Because you were with me.”
“..."
“I also wanted to tell you about some of my worries. I’m worried about school, club activities and romance. Could you please listen to my concerns?”
“Sure.”
After speaking for a while, my worries turned into joy.
“Thanks for listening. I feel a lot better... By the way, do you like me?”
“...I like you.”
“What do you like about me?”
“You’re kind and cute, and there’s something I can’t ignore about you.”
“Really. I think you’re very kind, and I love you too. Thank you.”
This was my love call from the U.S. to Kazuya, who was in Japan. It was also my love message.
