Back home
The Kamakura city, home to Kaito Shimizu, a high school student wants to live his life to the fullest. He has a small friend circle and a childhood trio. But what destiny brings to him is totally the opposite.
"No one", was the simultaneous answer he got. "Oh-common that wasn't a poll, you all are coming!" he tried covering up his previous statement & hopped around the three until they agreed.
They walked to that small park where they often spent quality time discussing on topics & life. Everyone's mood was suddenly lifted up after a while as they went chatting about the mad rush Kaito created. "If that's going to happen again, I don't know you on the road" Suzuki stated. "Oh you!! you told me that if my plan's going to succeed, we'll keep it as a souvenir.", Kaito revealed. At this revealation Kenji & Fuji didn't seem happy as their eyebrows became slanted towards the insides. "Ya, it's true. Suzuki confirmed, "But imagining myself telling this story to my kids in future is so cool, telling them how once a mad friend of mine made a mess of us and himself. " Everyone agreed on Suzuki's imagination, even Kaito agreed.
The park was a small one, with kids enjoying and rushing around..... Fuji & Kaito captured two swings while Suzuki & Kenji were grading kids on their attitudes & occasiondy interviewing a girl child about her interests in boys. "Do you like us?" they would ask trying to be as friendly & cute as they could be, for which the girl child would reply with a 'no' running away as she had to save her life.
"Kaito-senpai, don't you find that to be a bit cringe to walk with those balloons all the way here, I mean everybody was staring at us. Even Suzuki-senpai felt awkward." Fuji pointed out to Suzuki who was still running behind the girl child. Fuji still felt awkward sitting with Kaito with that bunch in his hands.
Kaito laughed, "I always put you in trouble", "No that's not what I meant, Fuji tried not to be rude. "Fuji-chan, the people who walked around us are all grown up, they have lived what you & I are living now, as they grew they termed all these activities 'childish' or 'immature' & created standards. If you fit within those frames they'll be happy, but will you be?" Kaito swinging playfully expressed his thoughts. Fuji not able to find answers for the question felt confused, "I don't know right now" "Haha.... that's a clever one. Find your answers Fuji-chan, don't grow too fast!" Kaito said with a smile messing Fuji's hair again. "Not my hair senpai!!" Fuji led out a playful cry.
After a moment of silence Fuji asked, "What about that bunch ?" "You want one?" Kaito asked. "No....thanks." Fuji who was constantly looking downwards lifted his face up half answering the question but stopped to find out the question wasn't for him but a girl child who came with a shine in her eyes towards Kaito feeling unsafe to ask for a balloon. She showed two fingers still in a shy manner. "Ok!..... so you want two", The child nodded playfully this time.
Kaito undid a pair from the bunch, "Got friends?" offering the balloons he asked her. "yes" she answered this time. "How many?", Kaito inquired, "Ten", she replied with a cute smile. Kaito giving her the whole bunch which seemed to be a tough task for her to handle, "Share with them all!" She nodded cheerfully not being able to control her smile & ran away.
"Were you saying something?" Kaito asked Fuji who was watching this, best in thoughts. "No, I wasn't!" he took a moment to answer.
"How does he get along with children so easily ?" Suzuki who was observing it all from a distance, questioned. "Maybe those balloons that he had; he always keeps running for those stuff," Kenji derived.
"I too need to learn this", saying this with a combo of determination & rage Suzuki went dashing towards Kaito, "Hey Kaito!", He shouted. Kaito felt confused and was not able to frame answers of his own on 'why suzuki's coming this way??'. Once Suzuki arrived at the spot, he told Kaito that next time they both'll wipe out all those balloons outside the cafe, far which Kaito, not only agreed but also started to plan a strategy for their next raid together by drawing a sort of mind map with a stick on the sand. "I'm the junior here, not you two", Fuji almost cried.
Fuji & Kenji had their homes before that of Kaito & Suzuki, thus now they were the only ones(Kaito & Suzuki) walking down the lane, hands in pocket, surrounded by peaceful silence. For Kaito & Suzuki, those five minutes were the most awaited, they discussed lives, about girls, the classroom, friends & everything, they had that occupied some space in their worlds before Kaito's home appeared. Suzuki's home was the last stop for this journey.
"So, when are you finding a girl for yourself?", Suzuki asked with a smirk on his face. "How can I find one, I haven't figured out who I should propose in our class" Kaito expressed with a shade of pink playing an his checks. "Don't lie, I know you have an affair with that black stray cat", Suzuki revealed pointing towards the black cat. It felt ashamed for being the who the two boys were discussing about and thus left with an odd expression. "Oh man......so many lame jokes, I guess that's your specialities, I wondered for so long why Tsumugi hates you", taking a sigh of disappointment Kaito continued, "I guess I got some answers."
"Why do you bring her each time in the chat, her words burn my soul!" Suzuki accepted the fact for Tsumugi, he could tolerate Kaito's most un-honourable activities but not Tsumugi's words. "We're gonna talk about tomorrow", Kaito waved to Suzuki as he arrived at his house's main entrance but as he turned towards the gate there was a girl standing there, arms folded. "You are back, yeah."
