CHAPTER 02: 国王の早退
King Yoranios rebuild his kingdom, by his knowledge about economy, commerce, even if it takes years he was very patient man with goals to achieve, with his family beside him, generals, advisers, the heads of noble families, and the support of the army and people of his kingdom, Yoranios was successing in his reing as king who was loved and respected by every nation.
After fourty years passed from peace ceremony, a long time for humans but very short for demons, the shoking news that wounded the hearts of thousands if not millions of people, Sallina the famous heroine passed away in age of 75 beautiful years, every nation started their preparation to attend the funeral, from elves to ghouls and dwarfs and devils were they put their deference and ideologies aside for this sad event.
In the funeral, everyone was respectful and admired the heroine past, from dwarf king recalling her bravery in front of the army, the elves prince remember her saving him from demon raid over his camp in one time, to her right hand holy knight Jeul was very old in age of 80 years but weakness never got to him, he was standing tall and proud as ever with sad impression on his face, no one blame him because death always separate loved ones and he was her eternal friend and right hand, meanwhile the devils appearance was shoking considering their past with humans but that was for another time because this was sallina's day.
the king of ice showed with his wife, they were old but strong as ever, and the king of RENOLVA KINGDOM who was the captive prince of the demons in the war who become old with whiteness cover his head and big long beard, his mother the previous queen who made peace with yoranios passed away 14 years ago, he took the throne from his mother the queen who ended the war with demons, he was relieved that every kingdom came to attend the funeral, as a sign for long term peace with every race except the only king who wasn't in the funeral.
The king never waited for more than minutes for the butler to announce with military stand: "demon king Yoranios Gyovani has come." The royale cart stopped in front of temple of light where the funeral was made, the wooden brilliantly shape design doors open and Yoranios went out the royal carriage and his twin sisters followed him, the king of ice said: "they cannot enter the temple, it will burn the demons or someone like him, maybe hurt him atleast."
The prince of elves asked his father: "father why devils can enter the temple with no struggles at all."
The king of dwarfs interrupted the conversation: "son you have to know that temples of light have crystals as source of power and shields in times of war that will burn dark power holder like demons but in the end it is just magic and who is better in magic than two: witches and devils, I hope that answer your question," The prince thanked the dwarf king and looked to entrance with the guests thinking about approaching the demon king.
Yoranios looked to the big doors of the temple and start moving with confidence with his sisters until he entered the temple in shock of everyone inside of what they witnessed but kept their cool and calm impression except devils and elves kings who know what Yoranios was capable of.
Yoranios enter without the holy powers burn him but his sisters were little and very slight smoke coming out from their skin, most guests never realized expect king of dragons and Yoranios who was concerned about his sisters, who looked less troubled about holy temple.
Yoranios moved to the casket of the heroine, it was made of gold with beautiful scripts that represented old language that is honours the life and death of the heroine Sallina, Yoranios stand in front of the casket and grab a big Carved glass goblet filled with holy water, the guests start gossiping about the holy water's effects on demons and devils which will burn them.
Yoranios drink the holy water with no problem and did not effect him at all, the devil king smiled with wicked grin on his face, then Yoranios hold the glass goblet in the air and said with loud majestic voice to let anyone hear: Requiescat in Pace 【REST IN PEACE】 my beautiful lady, my eternal foe, and your people's brave heroine.
Every king and prince hold his glass goblet and start drinking, and the funeral went by people give condolences to family of the heroine, her son and daughter were in deepest sadness for losing their beloved mother, until demon king went to them with words as calm as possible regarding their mentally situation: "my condolence to you, your mother was a gifted person with even more warmer heart," The son looked at him with eyes filled with disgusted feeling but the daughter hold her brother hand to recognize his actions and said: "thank you very much my lord, thank you for you appearance and condolences."
Yoranios smiled to her and left for other people to greet the heroine family, but he was thinking about the brother actions toward him, yoranios was walking toward his sisters and said in his mind this wise words: "humans will always see us as evil cruel monsters, there will be no harmony between us, but I will protect my kingdom, and who step in my way I will end his existence," Yoranios left the funeral after paying respect and went back to his kingdom.
After 5 years, Jane the big sister came with happy face as usual and bowed to yoranios with pleasant news: "brother our commerce is growing in good enough rate, and we are having a good reputation among common people, and the nobles reporting their covidence about where the kingdom is going with her economy."
Yoranios interrupted her with question: "I heard the schools for kids are building in slow progress, what happened?"
Jane smile vanished and bowed her head: "the TYVNCHY family needed urgent money to rebuild their...."
Yoranios interrupted her again: "tell them to use that money to help build a generation that use science and knowledge better than us using magic and swords THAT IS AN ORDER FROM THE KING, I will never let noble family do what they want just because they have power and Influence, people need to know that demon king who order not some noble family, UNDERSTOOD?"
Jane bowed her head: "yes my lord."
After 260 years, there were no living who didn't hear about the kingdom of demons, a kingdom of commerce and money a dream for every ambitious merchant, even if there are few human traders here and there in demons kingdom but it was filled with traders from devils to elves, and even dwarfs who trade their knowledge about construction and his many arts in exchange for money and other profits, the witches selling their weird magical potions and magic items for fairly prices, the ghouls selling weopens from axes to big swords and even wooden ones for children to play and for beginners who want to leave their peaceful villages for a life adventures because human kingdoms don't have strict policy against demons walking their lands.
In the inn located in the northern city of demons, filled with humans and elves and of course demons chatting and having fun, a human merchant asked in curiosity: "you want to tell me that this kingdom have five castles, one in every direction north, west, south, and aaaa what the last one?"
One of dwarfs laughed hard: "kid you are drunk, you forget east and the fifth castle in the capital, every couple of years the king Yoranios will change the castle for keeping a close eye on the economy's growing and keep an extra eye for noble families HAHAHAHAHAHAHA we are safe from king Yoranios, we just humble people, traders who walk this earth, adventures and deferent people we meet, stories we live and share with our friends and beloved ones my dear drunken friends HAHAHAHAHA."
Everyone in the inn start laughing and drinking, in this kind of happiness bad and poisoning thoughts like race, social status are long gone and buried deep down where it should belong.
In northern castle, yoranios was sitting on the throne listening like usual to Jane's reports about economy and it's direction: "our revenue increased 3.6 time more that amazing, aaaaa about education every child in the kingdom is having a school to go, and books and knowledge to master it, and we have schoolers who entered human colleges and collected magic spells and rare books for us, Yoranios your plan to education our people help us stay connected to the outside world, and our spy reported that ITCHIVANI family have our back and atmost loyalty from their family head, and one of big noble family USHIDA family are not happy about your action to support the common people and other noble family before them."
Yoranios looked to his sister and smiled with good enough grin: "sister who you are?"
Jane looked to Yoranios with serious gaze and said: "I am Jane Gray, the strongest demon in the kingdom, I fought in the great war 300 hundred years ago with my brothers and sisters, and I am the big sister of yoranios the demon lord."
Yoranios looked to her with proudly impression on his face: "my dear sister, I am the king, no one dares to order me or even thinking about insulting me NOT EVEN THINKING, don't let anyone push you around and annoying you with their complaining, if there are complaints they talk to me, not wasting your precious time my lovely sister."
Jane smiled with warmth to her brother: "thank you Yoranios they were pain in my head, next time I will tell them to directly talk to you and complain like old witches hhhhhhh."
Yoranios turned to his right to face his brother MONROE the handsome white haired demon, Yoranios looked to him for seconds before cutting the silence with: "Monroe you are working hard like Jane over here, you can rest and have fun my brother, even get a holiday with your children and wife, I can manage without you big brother."
Monroe bowed to Yoranios with this honest to heart words: "thank you very much my king, but why did you offer me such holiday? Am I slow in work or did some mistake with the documents?"
Yoranios responded with rare good smile: "no dear brother, your work is fantastic and have Precise details, but I had yesterday a little meeting with your little daughter."
Yesterday evening, Yoranios was walking alone in the hallway until one of maids start yelling: "please princess you can't play around in this hallway, the throne chamber is for the king and generals."
The little girl lowered her head and sadness and maybe some lonely tears was dropping: "I know that but I miss my father."
The maiden looked to the little girl: "I am sorry but...." her phrase cut when her eyes meet with Yoranios's dark cold eyes.
the maid startled: "ssss.... sorry my king, it's my fault, I will never...."
Yoranios cut her taking with calm voice: "you did nothing wrong MAIDEN TENELA, rest a bit you deserve it."
The maid bowed and left immediately, Yoranios looked to little girl who bowed and said with respectful manner: "long live the demon lord yoranios gyovani."
Yoranios picked her in his big right arm And lough: "what is that my little sunshine want soo bad, you can ask your good old uncle anything."
Kunty was happy and wiped her tears and said: "uncle I miss my dad, he comes late every night, my brother and my little two sisters miss him, I know he work hard for you and for our kingdom but I want him with us."
Yoranios looked to her and kissed her little hand: "what my sunshine want, I yoranios gyovani the demon king will do the impossible to achieve it for my cute princess," Kunty start laughing with joy.
Back to present time, Yoranios said to his brother: "Monroe your family miss you, go have good times with them, my little princess ordered that."
Monroe smiled and bowed: "thank you dear brother," then Monroe turned around and left the throne chamber, Jane smiled to Yoranios and contuned reading her reports.
After half hour, Jane said with sigh: "that the last report of the magic revolution in our colleges, give us few years and we gonna surpass the devils and witches in their profession." Yoranios nod his head in approval, and Jane putted her documents on the table and said with a curious look in her face: "Yoranios tell me, is this what you want to do? I never asked you before but do you have something you wish for? Because I never saw you prefer food over another, prefer a place over other places, is my brother have something in mind? Tell me," Yoranios kept silence, thinking but without answers coming out to clarify.
After a long day, Yoranios entered his room, it was big filled with books of many genres from sciences to economy, also books of human magic, history books were no strangers, and ones about Architectural sciences.
His room was not special surprising considering his status as the king, except from the books nothing out of ordinary.
Yoranios walked toward his bed, his head was thinking about one thing, about what his sister told him earlier today, Yoranios closed his eyes and give up to sleep for waching him from tiredness.
Tomorrow, Yoranios entered the throne chamber, everyone bowed to him until he sit on his throne, his big sister Jane and mother and even his father noticed that Yoranios face and impression are exited and that's rare if you are close to the demon lord and know him very well.
Yoranios looked to his family and said: "what you said yesterday was true, Jane my lovely sister I want to be a merchant."
Everyone in the chamber kept silence, the shoking words left a confusion expression on Jane and his parents, and Yoranios contuned: "I don't want to stay king, this work is boring and I did my best to this kingdom, it's time to create some goals to achieve it have adventures and fun for once."
Yoranios grabbed the golden crown and put it in his throne with smile in his face and said with covidence: "it is yours, time for ADVENTURES."
