[Chapter 1] Part 1 - A Winning War

FWSDI-Tsuiki is a dull place, no matter how hard it tries to appear somewhat vibrant. Anyone who set foot in it would immediately recognize its place as a military base.
"A grouping of Nephilim attempted an advance in the 2nd Okinawa district. Local defense regiments stalled the assault until Gleipnirs from the 1064th Mechanized Brigade promptly engaged and destroyed the force. No friendly casualties were reported and minimal damage was sustained."
Just about everything was constructed from poured concrete, each layer visible. Giving a very grey landscape for all who observe. There were some rows of greenery, namely bushes and small trees, though they too are dwarfed by the utter lack of anything else. Low-profile angular storage facilities, and taller geometrical buildings used for administration and accommodation. All with a bustle of uniformed people moving throughout.
Atop an especially large and grandeur building; Tsuiki's Headquarters, waves four flags. The Japanese flag, Japanese Ground Forces, Japanese Air Defence Force, and the Mobile Mechanized Division's flag. Each one decorated with symbols or objects of what they represent.
A lower-ranking officer passes Shigure. Judging by the happy expression and bounce in his step, he'd probably just completed officer school. Walking together with an equally well-dressed NCO likely showing him around the base. Shigure pays little mind to the two soldiers, only glancing out of instinct.
He wore the grey Mobile Mechanized Division administrative officer uniform. Wearing insignias respective to his unit, and of course his rank as Captain. Jet black hair pressed down beneath a service cap. Shigure disliked giving details of himself, he didn't like having things attributable to him. So for his men who 'know' him, he is just 'Shigure'. No full name, no age, just speculation towards the officer.
He carried himself like any other person, almost in an attempt to blend in. No flashy posture or elegance like other officers - seemingly lacking the pride one would procure in officer training. A flat expression holding two sharp gray eyes simply scanning his surroundings.
"Units from the 1210th Mechanized Artillery Brigade and 1303rd Mechanized Armour Brigade have mobilized into the Jilin Region, progressing Operation Vanguard with our Chinese comrades.
