第7話 パシャッと変身！ 魔法のファッションショー（Snap and Change! The Magical Fashion Show）
それは科学も魔法もある、こことは別の世界。
This is a world where both science and magic exist, a world different from ours.
今日の魔法学校の授業は、「服を一瞬で変えられる魔法」です。
Today's class at the magic school is about "magic that can change clothes in an instant."
授業の補佐として、いつも優秀な成績を取っている上級生のアリスが来ていました。
As a teaching assistant, Alice, an upperclassman who always gets excellent grades, was there.
「みんな、手本をよく見ていなさい。魔法まぜまぜ、お姫様になーれ！ エイッ！」
"Everyone, watch my example closely. Magic Mix, Turn into a Princess! Yah!"
アリスが杖を振ると、いつもの学生服が、おとぎ話に出てくるようなキラキラのお姫様のドレスに変身しました！
When Alice waved her wand, her usual school uniform transformed into a sparkling princess dress right out of a fairy tale!
それを見て、みんなもさっそく練習を始めます。
Seeing that, everyone immediately started practicing.
アイビーは森の妖精のような服に、ガスは一流の料理人の服に、ジャックスはかっこいいカウボーイの服に変身しました。
Ivy transformed into a dress like a forest fairy, Gus into a top-class chef's outfit, and Jax into a cool cowboy outfit.
「よーし、私も！ 魔法まぜまぜ、素敵な服になーれ！ エイッ！」
"Alright, me too! Magic Mix, Turn into Lovely Clothes! Yah!"
ドットもさっそく魔法を試しましたが……ボフンと白い煙があがると、ドットはへんてこな格好に変身していました。
Dot also immediately tried the magic, but... when a puff of white smoke rose, Dot had transformed into a ridiculous outfit.
なんと、フリルの付いたトップスを足に履いて、フリルの付いたスカートを頭から首にすっぽりと被っていたのです。
To everyone's surprise, she was wearing a frilly top completely over her legs, and a frilly skirt pulled entirely over her head and neck.
「オーホッホッホ！ なんておかしな格好かしら！」
"Ohohoho! What a ridiculous outfit!"
それを見たアリスは高笑いしてドットを馬鹿にしました。先生もいつものようにため息をつきます。

「ドット、次までの宿題にします。練習してきなさい」

ドットが家に帰って相談すると、博士はニカッと笑ってある道具を取り出しました。
When Dot went home and consulted him, Doc grinned and took out a certain tool.
「ハハハ！ 魔法でお着替えできないなら、これを使えばいい！ 最新発明『変身カメラ』だ！」
"Ha ha ha! If you can't change clothes with magic, just use this! My latest invention: The Transformation Camera!"
「変身したい服を撮影して、画面でその服をタップする。あとはその状態で自分を撮影するだけで、一瞬で着替えられるぞ！」
"Shoot a picture of the clothes you want to change into, and tap those clothes on the screen. Then, just take a picture of yourself in that state, and you can change in an instant!"
試しにドットが博士を撮影して変身してみると、なんと博士と同じ白衣姿に変身しました。
When Dot tried taking a picture of Doc and transforming, to her surprise, she transformed into the same white lab coat outfit as Doc.
「わあ、すごい！ 博士、ありがとう！」
"Wow, amazing! Thank you, Doc!"
ドットは博士にお礼を言うと、さっそく学校へ向かいました。
Dot thanked Doc and immediately headed to school.
その途中で、道行く人の服や、洋服屋さんの前に飾られている服をパシャパシャと撮影していきます。
On the way, she snapped photos of the clothes of people passing by and the clothes displayed in front of clothing stores.
学校に到着すると、ドットはみんなの前で、大人な女性の美しい服や、紳士なおじさんの渋い服に次々と変身して見せました。
When she arrived at school, Dot showed off in front of everyone, transforming into beautiful clothes of an adult woman and the dapper clothes of an old gentleman one after another.
「オーホッホ！ 道具に頼ってズルい魔法使いね。そんなの本当の魔法じゃないわ」
"Ohoho! You're a cheating witch who relies on tools. That's not real magic."
アリスは、ドットが簡単にファッションショーをしているのが気に入らない様子です。
Alice seemed displeased that Dot was easily putting on a fashion show.
ドットはそれを気にせず、次の写真にスライドして、画面をタップし、自分を撮影しました。パシャッ！
Dot ignored her, slid to the next photo, tapped the screen, and took a picture of herself. Snap!
しかし、タップする場所を間違えて、後ろに写っていた犬をタップしていたようです。
However, it seems she tapped the wrong place and had tapped a dog in the background.
ボフン！ ドットはモコモコの犬の着ぐるみに変身してしまいました。
Puff! Dot transformed into a fluffy dog costume.
「ほら見なさい！ 道具に頼るからそんなことになるのよ！」
"See! That's what happens when you rely on tools!"
アリスはまた高笑いすると、魔法で完璧に女王様の姿に変身して見せました。
Alice laughed haughtily again and then transformed perfectly into the figure of a Queen using magic.
面白くないドットは、今度はわざと猫の写真をタップして、アリスを撮影しました。パシャッ！
Annoyed, Dot deliberately tapped a photo of a cat this time and took a picture of Alice. Snap!
「えっ！？ ニャ、ニャンですってー！？」
"Eh!? Wh-What in the world-meow!?"
アリスの女王様のドレスは、モコモコの猫の着ぐるみに変わってしまいました。
Alice's Queen dress turned into a fluffy cat costume.
「あはは！ すげー！」とジャックスが大笑いすると、アイビーは「笑ったら可哀想だよ」と諫めます。
"Ahaha! Awesome!" Jax laughed loudly, while Ivy scolded him, "It's mean to laugh."
ガスはおっとりと、「犬のドットも猫のアリスも、どっちも似合っているよ」と言いました。
Gus said calmly, "Both Dot the dog and Alice the cat look good on you."
「すぐに元に戻しなさい！」
"Turn me back right now!"
顔を真っ赤にして怒ったアリスは、ドットに向けて魔法の光を飛ばしました。
Alice, her face turning bright red with anger, shot a magic light at Dot.
「わわっ！」
"Whoa!"
ドットが驚いて魔法の光を避けると、しりもちをつきながら、カメラを手放して落としてしまいました。
When Dot dodged the magic light in surprise, she fell on her bottom and dropped the camera from her hands.
ガシャン！
Crash!
地面に落ちたカメラは煙を上げて、周りに眩しい光の星をバラバラとまき散らしました。
The camera that fell to the ground let out smoke and scattered blinding light stars all around.
壊れたカメラから出た光の星が当たったみんなは、勝手に服が変わってしまいます。
Everyone who was hit by the light stars from the broken camera had their clothes changed without permission.
アイビーは鳥の羽をたくさん使った民族衣装に、ガスは大きなケーキの着ぐるみに、ジャックスはスーパーヒーローのような衣装に変身しました。
Ivy transformed into an ethnic dress using lots of bird feathers, Gus into a giant cake costume, and Jax into an outfit like a superhero.
「ええっ、元に戻して欲しいわ……」
"Ehh, I want to be turned back..."
アイビーが言いますが、カメラからは煙が出ていてもう使えそうにありません。
Ivy said this, but smoke was coming out of the camera, and it seemed it couldn't be used anymore.
「ドット、また博士に相談するか？」ジャックスが聞くと、ドットは首を振りました。
"Dot, are we going to consult Doc again?" When Jax asked, Dot shook her head.
「ううん。カメラを壊したアリスに、どうにかしてもらおうよ」
"No. Let's have Alice, who broke the camera, do something about it."
アリスは困った顔をしましたが、自分が魔法を飛ばしてカメラを壊してしまったのも本当です。
Alice looked troubled, but it was also true that she broke the camera by shooting her magic.
「……仕方ないわね。私の家へいらっしゃい。代わりの服をプレゼントするわ」
"...I guess I have no choice. Come to my house. I'll give you replacement clothes as a gift."
みんなは、へんてこな格好のまま、アリスの家までぞろぞろと大行進しました。
Everyone marched in a group to Alice's house, still in their ridiculous outfits.
「モグモグ……これ、本当に美味しいなぁ」
"Munch, munch... This is really delicious."
ガスは、着ぐるみのはずのケーキが食べられることに気づいて、美味しいと食べながら歩きます。
Gus realized that the cake, which was supposed to be a costume, was edible and walked while eating it, saying it was delicious.
アリスの家に着くと、そこは立派な大豪邸でした。
When they arrived at Alice's house, it was a magnificent, huge mansion.
みんなはアリスの屋敷の、洋服がたくさんある大きな試着ルームに案内されました。
Everyone was guided to a large fitting room in Alice's mansion lined with lots of clothes.
そこでみんなで、楽しく色々な服を着せ替えながら、大はしゃぎでファッションショーを開催しました。
There, they had a blast holding a fashion show, happily trying on various clothes together.
「すげー！ アイビー、そのドレスめちゃくちゃ似合ってるな！ いつもと別人みたいに綺麗だぜ！」
"Awesome! Ivy, that dress looks super good on you! You look so pretty, like a completely different person!"
ジャックスが目を輝かせて褒めると、ドットとお揃いの綺麗なドレスを着たアイビーは、顔を真っ赤にして照れてしまいました。
When Jax praised her with his eyes sparkling, Ivy, wearing a beautiful dress matching Dot's, turned bright red and felt shy.
「えへへ……ありがとう、ジャックス。ちょっと恥ずかしいな……」
"Hehe... thank you, Jax. It's a little embarrassing..."
一方、ジャックスとガスは、ピシッとした黒いタキシードを着てポーズを決めています。
Meanwhile, Jax and Gus were posing in sharp black tuxedos.
でも、ヤンチャなジャックスは服が窮屈そうで、ガスはタキシードのままケーキをモグモグと食べています。
But the mischievous Jax looked cramped in his clothes, and Gus was munching on cake while still wearing his tuxedo.
それを見たドットは、お腹を抱えて大笑いしました。
Seeing that, Dot held her stomach and laughed out loud.
「あはは！ ジャックスもガスも、タキシード姿が全然似合ってないよ！」
"Ahaha! Jax and Gus, those tuxedos don't suit you at all!"
大切なのは、一瞬で着替えられる魔法や便利な道具じゃなくて、友達と一緒にワイワイ笑い合える時間だったんですね。
The important thing wasn't magic or convenient tools that let you change in an instant, but the time spent laughing together excitedly with friends.
