Chapter 9 Combat
Kailey was still pondering the question asked by the unnamed teacher when some of the students started casting low-level spells at her. While trying to dodge the spells, Kailey stumbled in every direction. As she was thinking of asking the teacher's name first, the teacher responded in an annoyed tone, "Is this the time for such a stupid question?!"
Feeling embarrassed, Kailey stopped moving, forgetting the attacks being aimed at her. When the students saw the opening they began hailing Kailey with wind element related spells, the barrier unable to withstand the repeated attacks started collapsing in on itself. Ashamed because of the blunder, Kailey began casting another barrier spell to reinforce the one that was barely holding. when she finished the spell she remembered the previous question and said, "I don't understand what's going on, but the situation we're in might be because of me."
The teacher had finally had enough of the disruptions caused by the three students. In response, she tapped into her magical abilities and created a magic circle of solidified mana. She then proceeded to chant two spells simultaneously activating circle and verbal magic, the two magics combined both water and lightning elements in a two-stage attack. The water created from within the circle began spraying out in a forceful stream, drenching the three students and forming into a rope that covered them. When the teacher finished chanting the incantation, she released a bolt of lightning from her outstretched hand, striking the water and creating a current of lightning. The resulting shock burnt and paralyzed the students who had been attacking Kailey.
With all the distractions over, the teacher finally had peace and quiet aside from the noise of chalk being scraped over a board. She began trying to form a plan out of this presumed dimensional space with the help of the girl who wasn't supposed to be in the school, if it even was a school. Kailey, shocked and awed by the power of the teacher, timidly went up to the teacher about to ask if she could help her in returning to the laboratory but before she could blurt out the words. The teacher, not wanting to be distracted, brought Kailey to the door and exited out of the classroom and into the hallway. When the teacher tried to go to the teachers' lounge on the second floor dragging Kailey along, the dreamscape changed again bringing Kailey and the teacher along with her!
Woo another chapter its been like 2 weeks since I started if I am right happy that I am continuing but this is grueling! also I can't decide on a permanent title right now so I'll be changing it again. previously Curse Curing and Wild Adventures With Witch Hat-san now The Witch Hats Quest for Magic: A Tale of Adventure btw how does one decide on a name anyhow
