Dreams of Someone's Past

Chapter 6 Dreams of Someone's Past

When Kailey woke up, she saw three children playing in a field of dandelions and enjoying a simple yet thrilling game that involved running beside each other, trying to surpass one another while shouting words filled with magic power to boost their speed, the children's goal was a tree as big as a two-story house. Kailey watched them play while trying to figure out what they were running to. Spotting their destination, Kailey swiftly ran to the children's destination with long strides. When she arrived, she tried to get the attention of one of the children at the front of the group, but she went unnoticed. The boy she stood in front of didn't see Kailey at all!

Feeling dejected, Kailey thought of different ways to gain the boy and his group's attention. Meanwhile, the boy reached the tree and looked back at his friends while they raced to the giant tree. A girl surprisingly fast bounded toward the tree like a leaf in the wind, causing a thump as she landed on the tree's trunk, becoming the second child to reach the tree. The last child, a girl with hair the color of a raven's feather, reached the tree not a second later, causing another thump as she roughly landed on the trunk next to the other girl. As Kailey tried and failed to capture the attention of the children lying beneath the cool, shaded area, the scene abruptly shifted to an auditorium.

When Kailey regained her senses, she found herself in an auditorium filled with students wearing uniforms that indicated their study of magic. When the teacher walked in, the once noisy room fell silent as the students stopped chatting and turned their attention toward the teacher. Meanwhile, Kailey was adjusting to the situation, observing the students around her as the teacher began creating formations with incomplete diagrams on the board. Just as the teacher finished her first diagram, a flood of information suddenly hit Kailey's mind. The sensation was similar to tripping over a rock and instinctively regaining balance the next second. The information that Kailey gained explained why the teacher was creating incomplete magic circles and not complete ones.

The test was performed regularly in the class, where the teacher would present incomplete diagrams to the students, challenging their knowledge. The students would come to the podium after being called on. They would then choose from several magic formation circles. Each student would then try to add runes to complete the magic circle in front of them. As they did this, they would release a small amount of their magic energy to test the flow inside the magic circle. This action helped to identify any incorrect spots in the magic circle and prevented the incomplete circle from fully activating.

But when enough residual magic had accumulated within the magic formation to activate it, the teacher would disperse it before the incomplete magic could explode and cause harm to the students. After dispersing the magic, the students would return to their seats, and another group of students would come from the rows of seats, then test the magic circle and add to it. This process would continue until the magic flowed smoothly through the circle without interruptions. Only then would the circle be considered complete.

wow these are like over 160 over the word count I don't know if this is clear or concise but I believe I did my best my eyes hurt lol
