Chapter 300 Plans
Once Cecelia's greetings concluded, Brian addressed the group, "It seems like we have everyone here. Liam has already left to get things moving, so he won't be joining us until later today. We can start heading out whenever you're all ready."
"Classic Liam," Kelly remarked.
"Alright, let's get started! I am ready whenever you all are," Cecelia announced.
With Cecelia's declaration, the group left the camp and set off for the guild. As they walked down the street, Brian began explaining their plans. "We still need to pick up the meat from the Adventurers Guild, so I plan to grab that. While I'm gone, you can either stay at the guild or explore, but make sure to stick together. I don't know what unscrupulous people might do if they see girls alone. Aleshia, I hope you can protect them while I return to the camp with the supplies."
"Sure, I'll do that," Aleshia replied.
"Sounds like a plan," Kelly and Cecelia agreed. Meanwhile, Stella shrugged, as if it didn't concern her.
The group continued walking the streets until they arrived at the Adventurers' Guild. Inside, they found several lines of adventurers dressed in a variety of gear, ranging from leather armor to iron and other types of metal, all equipped with weapons of various kinds at their sides. Aleshia began to observe the adventurers in the guild to assess both the guild's strength and that of its members. She rarely had the time or opportunity to evaluate so many people gathered in one place, except for the brief moments someone caught her eye crossing the busy main street.
As they approached the line for the receptionist's desk, they noticed their preferred receptionist, Linda, had a line of her own, so the group decided to join her line.
After some time, the line eventually dwindled until it was their turn to speak with Linda. "What can I do for you?" Linda asked as she was filing papers. Brian replied, "We are looking for permission to enter the guild storehouse to collect our harvested materials."
Linda recognized Brian's voice immediately and answered, "I'll get right to that." She left her desk and entered the storeroom, returning with an employee Aleshia hadn't spoken with before.
"Please follow Tanner; he will show you to the materials you brought in." Linda bowed slightly before returning to her desk to handle more of the applications.
After Linda left, the group followed Tanner to the storehouse. They watched as he pulled out a container filled with meat harvested from the animals they had brought back. "I assume you have a bag to carry this back?" Tanner asked.
