Chapter 284 Searching For Herbs
After the party finished their harvesting, they placed the materials they had gathered into their respective bags. When their bags could hold nothing else and were nearly full to bursting, they handed the remaining materials to Aleshia so she could store the rest in her own bag.
As the party helped Aleshia put the last of the materials away, Cecelia remarked, "I still can't believe that bag can hold all of this. It must be an expensive one to carry so much!" She said with excitement.
"Um, yeah, it is definitely a useful bag," Aleshia replied awkwardly.
The group reviewed their quests and noted that only two quests remained: gathering herbs and finding a lost cat. They had already planned to complete the cat quest later and had spent time hunting horned rabbits, wolves, and goblins. Now all that was left for them to do was collect medicinal herbs.
While searching for herbs, Cecelia and Liam demonstrated particular skill, gathering a large number of herbs and plants. Meanwhile, the rest of the group collected only small amounts of herbs, but they still met the assigned quest quota. In the end, everything turned out fine, and they all placed the herbs they collected in Aleshia's bag.
After all the battles, harvesting, and gathering, Aleshia looked up to check the time and was surprised to see that the sun was beginning to set. It seemed the rest of the party also judged the time and had decided to return to the city.
After making the long trek back to the city, the party had to wait in a small line at the gate. Since it was getting late, the line was short, mostly filled with adventurers and merchants. After a while, they were able to cross the gate without any trouble.
The streets were bustling, but the group decided to steer clear of the crowded areas. They felt self-conscious about their appearance, as they were covered in blood and had already received odd looks since entering the city. Their main concern was not wanting to scare any children with their blood-covered appearance.
Eventually, they arrived at the guild and approached the reception desk to mark their quests as completed. Linda greeted them, and after the customary introductions, she said, "Hello, Aleshia! I see that you were able to convince Daniel to let you go out again and found another party to help you complete your quests."
"Yeah, it seems I was able to convince him. I'm not sure if I should be the one to ask, but could you let us take our stuff to the back? It looks like we collected a lot," Aleshia said as she handed the quests to Linda.
