音楽と詩歌について
音楽は滔々と流れゆく川
詩は粛々と森で眠れる湖
奏の人は天へと階梯のぼり
唱の人は地の底に灯探せり
完全なる流れを受けては
波を止めても渦巻けるは
声楽と管弦楽の衝突なり
調和に憧れ求めて
不協和ゆえにまた求め
男女は鍵盤のうえで踊る
果てることなき輪舞曲ワルツを
揺れ動く歌消えいれば
柔和な竪琴きこえくるも
あえて吾が音を乱せと誘う

Of Music and Verse
Music is a river, ever-flowing and vast,
Poetry—a lake asleep within the silent forest.
The player climbs the stairway to the heavens,
The singer seeks a light in the depths below.
Receiving the perfect flow,
Even when waves are still, they swirl—
That is the clash of song and orchestra.
Yearning for harmony,
Yet seeking again because of discord,
Man and woman dance upon the keys,
Their endless waltz unceasing.
When the trembling song fades away,
A gentle harp is heard again—
It tempts you to disrupt my sound.
