Final Goal of Covid-19
At present (October 2020) when I am writing this story, the infection of Covid-19 has not ceased yet. To stop its expansion, we must think about more fundamental reason why such Virus had emerged. If we seek out a correct answer to this question, we could reach the Final Goal (Complete Finish) against this disease.
1.Blood Type and Covid-19
When we look back our history, we can find that the human race had repeatedly encountered various epidemics. The Spanish Flu early in 20th century, the Cholera in 19th century, the Pest Plague 14th century etc.
However all of these had happened within human historic era and we have no idea about any prehistoric pandemics because of lack of records.
Had the human race repeatedly encountered any serious pandemics during its primitive ages? Provably it had. Then how could it overcome these disasters without any modern medicines and vaccines?
We can find the probable answer in our blood types. We knows there are various kinds of blood type, ABO, MN, Rh, etc. But not so much people can correctly answer why such blood types are existing.
A blood type is usually decided depending on the Sugar Chain which is attached on a red blood cell. Sugar Chain is the long chain of amino acid and has a little differential between each type. For example type A blood has its own Sugar Chain and if we transfuse type B blood into A, A’s antibody will work and coagulate B blood, Therefore we cannot transfuse blood between A and B.
Then why does a human body have such complicated mechanism? If the blood type is only A, it will be m
uch easier for all human being. But the God gave us 4 types, namely A, B, O, AB. Why?
There is an assumption it was the result of some kind of infection disease which the human race experienced in their ancient prehistoric ages. It might be an anthropoid age. After sever natural selecting struggle only 4 blood types had survived and been succeeded until today. The biodiversity is essential for every animal to survive in this virus filling world.
If you search for “Infection” and “Blood Type” in SNS, you can easily find out a lot of studies and reports about their relation. Even for Covid-19 some scientist says there is a little differential for infection ratio depending on blood type. .
2.Worst Scenario “Influenzation”
“Influenzation” is a kind of coinage of colonization of Covid-19 in our daily life. Many of specialists are now expecting Covid-19 will finish similar to Influenza. Many people will have immunity by vaccination or gradual infection. And effective medicines will be developed to make Covid-19 not serious.
However this scenario seems a little optimistic and gives us anxious future.
1.How long is the vaccine effective? As you know, Influenza’s vaccine keeps only 6 months. Some specialists reported Covid-19’s antibody titer would keep only 2-3 month. That means we should be vaccinated every 2-3 months. Furthermore, there is no sure guarantee for immunity even if we are vaccinated.
2.Even if effective medicines are invented, the timing of medication will be very difficult, because in case of Covid-19 the patient conditions will be suddenly changed.
3.Death Ratio of Covid-19 is much higher than that of Influenza, almost 10 times, especially for the aged.
But we will not be able to be locked down forever and politicians must take steps to restart the economic activities. We have to choose whether Economy or Human lives. However small we can make the number of casualties, it is inevitable that some people should be sacrificed.
How many?
The Death Toll by Influenza all over the world is estimated approximately 300 thousands per year. Assuming the death ratio of Covid-19 is 10 times as much as that of Influenza, 3 million population will be lost annually.
Is that acceptable for the human race? We need much more argument for this point.
3.Why had Lifeforms emerged?
To seek for the Final Goal, we have to think about why viruses had emerged repeatedly. Without this analysis, even if we can overcome Covid-19, another virus will emerge and our battle will continue endlessly.
We, human race, are living on the Earth. Other various lifeforms, animals, plants, bacteria, viruses etc. are living, too. Their lives are basically equivalent in terms of physics.
Is the human life the most precious? Such thinking is the arrogance of human. As we try to live and increase hard, viruses also struggle to increase. That is the very cause of epidemic. Then why does human or virus try to increase so hard?
One possible answer for this question is “Entropy” in physical term. Entropy is generally translated as “disorder or messy”. For example, if we do not clear up a room, the room may become messy. Another example says café au lait cannot be divided into coffee and milk. These show that all events in our world progress one-way to disorder and never could be recovered. Physicists call it “Law of Entropy Increase”.
Then what is the role of lifeforms in the Universe. Lifeforms are said to temporarily stop the Entropy Increase. Lifeforms are made by large organic compounds and continue to sustain the form by taking energy from outside. Atoms contained in lifeforms are composing huge organic compounds and existing stably. On the contrary, inorganic matters are fragile and easily collapsed.
Physicists still oppose such opinions due to “Irreversible” of Entropy Increase and assert that lifeforms cannot stop it. However they do not give us any satisfactory explanation for emerging of lifeforms. Is it accidental or inevitable?
If we assume that emerging of lifeforms is inevitable and maximizing their lives has an important meaning, then we can explain why Covid-19 Virus tries to increase so hard.
Such thinking seems very ridiculous, but maybe give us the Final Goal.
4.Symbiosis would be the Final Goal
Some scientist explains “Symbiosis” is the best and final goal of Covid-19. Its meaning is “live together”.
Unfortunately many politicians seem to misunderstand this word and think it means “Both Economy and Virus”, which is a metaphor in social meaning. The real biological meaning of symbiosis is “Give and Take”.
Biologists sometimes bring “Mitochondria” as an example of symbiosis. Mitochondria had originally been an independent unicellular bacterium in the ancient era and was taken into human’s cell more than 300 million years ago. Why was mitochondria not removed by human immune system? Because it could produce energy and give it to a human ancestor. A human ancestor could get a huge and complicated body thanks to this energy. Without mitochondria the human race might still be a small unicellular germ in the ocean. A human cell had given nutrition to mitochondria and taken energy from mitochondria. It is the very “Symbiosis”,
Biologists explain that there are many other vestigial organs of various viruses or germs in human DNA. It could be a proof that the human race had absorbed a lot of viruses and germs during their evolution process. Some of our ancestors had died or exterminated and others had survived. Through such long term natural selection, the human race had gradually constructed the current body.
If we can absorb Covid-19 and make it partial of our body, the new symbiosis will be started. Such assumption might be still ridiculous at present, but in some far future such biotechnology will be necessary to travel into the deep space. Because we must prepare for any kind of unknown lifeforms.
“Symbiosis” could be the final and absolute solution.
I wish Covid-19 pandemic would be over as soon as possible.
