So Pop, But Served No Literary Quality

How are you so popular but by the time I've read your novel, it's so below the bland, and so mechanical I wonder if I can actually put up my shit when it comes to whatever is popular.

I mean, yeah, there's a storytelling quality, but... apart from the praises that I gave, I couldn't push through a lot of it.

So is that new kid on the block popular author, writing about mental health or psychological drama kinda thingy...

Yeah...

I get what she's writing. But she can't deliver a literary prose. I'm just sayin'.

Man, how it takes a skill to write.

Oh, well. Guess I'll just have to yap-read to keep up with the trends.

Y'all keep writing in English and Tagalog, but couldn't pull the best of these two worlds to begin with. Man, for real, you can't do a fuckin' heavy lifting here. Y'all just juggling these two with such a shortcoming when it comes to its literary quality. Oh, I'm burning all of you.

How's a:

Kumirot ang dibdib ko sa kaisipang alam niya kung paano ako alagaan. It was almost as if he could figure out what I needed without me having to say it. He memorized me better than I could... and was ready to accept every facet of me, whether it be laughter, tears, remedies, or fears.

Verdict:

Sometimes you gave the utilitarian prose in Tagalog mixed with English clichés.

If I were to copy that style so pervasive in that scene, I'm confused myself. No rhythm for your native language Tagalog, coz honey, I know one when it's poetic. Then you layered it with a boring English prose.

Honey, choose one and commit to itttttt.

'Cause having both are double sloppy misses than a precise hit.

Yeah, I'm shitting. And I'm probably that one who could no longer put up with all seriousness when it comes to amateur writing. Because sometimes, instead of having to take everything all in, most times, you just gotta own it.

And when it comes to literature, most times, it's either you choose to something you are most capable to control.

I'm not saying you can't, but nothing is sharpened to your prose either. Would you urge me to buy a 500 pages thick of a novel, store it somewhere in my bookshelf, if the writing itself is that boring?

Next to a Filipino classic?

Hell, no. I wouldn't buy that shit for anything more than I'm willing to pay for: and that's quality inherent to what craft you're selling.

The art of language.

Duh.
