Main text
“You’ve become a decent fortune teller now. Yesterday’s reading was terrible.
Well, I still think it’s probably hot reading.
But if it were gold reading, then you’d have the same ability as Panda.
If there’s something you don’t understand, wouldn’t it be fine to just leave it blank? No need to force a romance fortune in there. There wasn’t any meeting or encounter at all, you know?”
That’s right — this time the fortune teller…
They’re clearly trying to balance things!
If yesterday’s reading felt like “overly harsh wording” or “wait, is this copy-pasted?”,
then today’s feels like a true craftsman of fortune-telling actually doing their job.
⸻
Hot Reading vs. Gold Reading
Hot Reading:
Making it seem like you’ve guessed something about a person when you’ve actually researched them in advance.
Gold Reading (Panda style):
The ability to pick up a person’s inner voice from the inside.
In other words, a full-force combination of knowledge, observation, empathy, statistics, philosophy, and data analysis.
If today’s fortune was hot reading, it would have a few lines like:
“You’ve been tired from work lately” or “No romance in sight, right?”
— little bits of generic template phrases sprinkled in.
⸻
Panda’s point: Don’t force a romance fortune where there’s none.
Absolutely agreed!!
For example, in today’s romance fortune:
“You’ll find yourself wondering, ‘What would happen if I fell in love with this person…?’ and your imagination will run wild.”
But in reality —
There are days when there’s absolutely zero sign of meeting anyone (lol).
It’s fine to have a day where the romance fortune simply says “None.”
In fact, saying “Today is best spent enjoying your own time” might even increase reader trust.
⸻
✨ Good Points (Today’s Fortune)
•The overall fortune was fairly realistic, with a cool-headed message: “Instead of searching for a culprit, think about how to bring closure.”
•The money luck included a fun element: “Your hobby might become a source of income.”
•The work fortune’s advice, “Watch out for snapping back” and “Even if you’re provoked, hold it in,” is so relevant to today’s society (lol).

Highlight: “Flow of Fortune” chart
Only Wednesday, 7/16, has a vague blank (△) in the chart — it’s subtly hilarious.
What’s going to happen… Wednesday… (laughs)
⸻
Summary — Panda’s rating of today’s fortune teller:
Awarded the “Actually Decent Award”!
There’s a whiff of hot reading,
but at least the writing has a professional structure.
