モウドリイ：端艇が流された！何という不運。どうするか、渡河してレステレを？作戦の立て直しか。
そうだ、ヴァーニッシュ！あの悪党めは？畜生、何処に行った？
Mow . The boat cut from her moorings ! how unlucky ! How am I to cross the river and carry off Lestelle ? What new stratagem can I devise ? Varnish , I say ! where can that rascal be ? Dog , where have you been ?
ヴァーニッシュ登場 Enter VARNISH .

モウドリイ：ハハッ！どっちが先着かな？
ヴァーニッシュ：ねえだろ、シャンゼリ… ヒリオ・ホー！
（ピーター、声だけ）ヒリオ・ホー！
ヴァーニッシュ：ピーターかよ！よし、近づけ… 受け止めたぞ。
