Living the Wrong Way at the End of the World

Humanity, as known, went extinct at the hands of "Fōrdners". Remnants erecting and fleeing to 128 sky islands - the last bastion upon earth, despite still being threatened by the monstrosities and their constant purging of life.

Heroes like those in fairy tales tried their hand at saving the dying world, many a time. Untimely events lead to an unlikely candidate: a young man with no grand outlook, wishing only to be a humble merchant, coming face to face with a Fōrdner. An encounter that would prove to throw his life into a spiral, eventually finding himself with a sword's hilt grasped.
