4. Massive Power
3 days later. At Dr. Holmstein’s office.
Dr. Holmstein, Dr. Michel and some other members were meeting to discuss the countermeasure from now on.
“Black Hole was locked in the storage safely. Then what is the next step?”
Dr. Holmstein proposed a question.
“We had better launch the storage by a locket and send it into the deep space.”
“No, no. It would be too dangerous. We still have no detail knowledge about Black Hole. If the launch will be failed, then…”
“But we cannot keep it in the laboratory forever.”
“We should continue the more intensive research.”
Discussion had been continuing more than five hours but they could not reach the conclusion.
“How about just keeping the observation? At present inside the storage nothing is there. Only true vacuum. If the additional supply of matters is cut off, Black Hole will gradually evaporate as the theory.”
Dr. Michel suggested. Nobody could suppose the counter opinion. It seems too difficult to give a correct answer under the current physics theory.
One week had passed.
“Emergency Warning. Radiation leaking in D Factory. Level 3. Repeating radiation…”
Another alarm had echoed throughout CERN again.
“What’s going on? Black Hole was completely shielded out, wasn’t it?”
Dr. Holmstein and other members dashed to the monitor room of D Factory and found out the terrible phenomenon. The huge storage made of super alloy was mercilessly twisted and tore and the radiation beam was clearly observed by even naked eyes.
“Incredible. The 20 centimeters thick storage is …”
At this moment people finally witnessed the massive power of Black Hole under their noses. As Einstein had expected, the space itself was twisted around Black Hole. Furthermore its strong gravity twisted not only space but everything in that space. Iron, lead, even diamond were tore and crushed into pieces of particle size and swallowed into the Hole.
“Get out of here. Too dangerous.”
Dr. Michel shouted. But too late.
“Gyaah…”
One of the member was smashed down by the direct hit of the X-ray jet beam.
“Shield operating.”
During the evacuation the thick shield wall began to fall down. Everybody dashed out of the room with holding the injured. His protective suit was partially burnt out and his left shoulder’s skin was peeled off.
“Medical, emergency at D Factory. Massive radiation exposure. Everyone, keep off. Don’t touch him. There is a risk for second exposure.”
Dr. Michel directed promptly. He had a military experience and the knowledge of radiation exposure. In such case it is too dangerous to touch a casualty with bare hands. There is no way other than waiting for the arrival of special medical team.
2 days later.
Kohei and Kate were summoned to the Dr. Holmstein’s office. It was very rare for a non-grade ordinary researcher like Kohei or Kate. They thought of it just because of their report. Any accusation for publishing it on the Website without any permission? If it was so the accusation should be done through each country’s Chief Research Officer. Furthermore they were told to make this meeting confidential. Something was wrong.
“Kohei, great. It will never happen Dr. Holmstein calls us directly.”
Rather optimistic Kate walked cheerfully. But pessimistic Kohei went ahead step by step without any word. Kohei felt a little ominous feeling for this secret meeting.
Dr. Holmstein’s Office is located at the end of A Factory. Kohei knocked the door.
“Come in.”
When they opened the door, they were frozen all at once by the atmosphere in the room. About 10 of top members of the World Physics Academy assembled in front of them. What kind of meeting is this? What’s going on?
“Welcome, have a seat. Don’t be so nervous.”
Dr. Holmstein offered the seats with smile. But their tension had already reached the highest level. They had their seats with a little trembling in their feet.
“I have read your report. It is amazing, wonderful.”
An applauding word was coming out of Dr. Holmstein’s mouth. Kohei and Kate were waiting for the next word. But it had not come soon. Instead the long silence has dominated throughout the room. Finally Dr. Holmastein’s voice was restarted.
“Is it true, isn’t it?”
“Yes, surly it is. Black Hole is still growing at this moment.”
Kohei and Kate had lost their words. If their theory is correct, nobody will be able to stop its growth. Black Hole could become a kind of tunnel connecting our Universe and the Parallel Universe in Extra Dimension. As mentioned before if our Universe is made of only matters (+1) and the Parallel Universe may be made of only anti-matters (-1), then the Singularity of Black Hole becomes the very point of pair annihilating of them. A series of innumerous pair annihilation of matters and anti-matters will continue until either of them will be completely run out. It is similar to a tornado which fills a gap of air pressure between above and below. The tornado will grow and swallow everything until the gap will be settled.
“We shielded Black Hole in the super alloy storage expecting it would evaporate in the true vacuum. But failed. It had already torn and swallowed the storage itself. That monster would be beyond our current physical knowledge. Then, Mr. Kohei and Miss Kate, I called you here to ask your opinions to erase this monster.”
Dr. Holmstein explained the purpose of this meeting with folding his arms. But neither Kohei nor Kate could give any answer. Ten geniuses had already argued for a week and found no answer. It was impossible for young two physicists to add something more. One minute had passed and one more. Only the vain silence was filled in the room.
“If your paper was announced a little earlier, then this accident might be avoided. It is really regrettable. I feel very sorry but…”
Dr. Holmstein tried to close the meeting.
“Wait a moment. There is one possibility.”
Kohei raised his hand deliberately. .
“If we can create a bunch of anti-matters and shoot them into Black Hole, then we may stop the series of pair annihilation. As you know well, a matter has plus electric charge and an anti-matter has minus one. Therefore they pull against each other. But if we can fill Black Hole with artificial anti-matters, the repulsive force will be activated by doubling minus electric charges.”
Theoretically Kohei’s assumption might be correct. But creating a bunch of anti-matters would be impossible by the present technology.
“A bunch of anti-matters? Anti-matters will disappear within minus 30 power of 10 seconds. How can we make them a bunch? Is that a science fiction?”
Dr. Michel ridiculed him. But Kohei continued.
“Yes, it is surely difficult. But according to the Einstein’s Relativity Theory, the time passing speed is expected to become slower under the strong gravity.”
“Ah!!”
Any talented physicist noticed the meaning of it immediately. Near the surroundings of Black Hole the strong gravity is likely to make the time speed slower.
According to the Einstein’s Relativity Theory, the time passing speed become slower under the near light speed. He also expected that same phenomenon would occur under the strong gravity. His Theory was actually confirmed by the GPS experiment.
“If my calculation is correct, the duration for pair annihilation can be prolonged till approximately 3 seconds near the Event Horizon of Black Hole. We can produce a bunch of anti-matters by a series of irradiation of proton beams and shoot them into Black Hole by using the strong electromagnetic device.”
Every member concentrated on the Kohei’s explanation. If his assumption is correct, it might be worthy of 10 Novel Prizes. The world of theoretical physics will completely upset.
“Anybody? Any question?”
Dr. Holmstein asked. Nobody gave any comment.
