Rescue Mission
Mason, Cole and Geese sit tied up in a warehouse. The warehouse is filled with shipping containers, boxes and shelves. The bandits seem to be interrogating Geese.
“Louzy traitors, you…”
One of the bandits punches Geese in the face. The bandit then turns his attention to Mason.
“Hey boss, what should we do about these two? We don’t need anything from them.”
The leader agrees.
“They’ll be more hassle than they’re worth. Just eliminate them.”
Mason and Cole begin to panic as the bandit hesitates but raises his arm and prepares to cast a spell at the tied up Mason and Cole. Before the bandits could cast the spell. their attention is turned to a figure standing on one of the shipping containers in the warehouse.
“Don’t do anything rash. Play nice.”
The bandits all turn and stare at the figure. Mason and Cole recognise it as Priscilla.
“Those two boys have nothing to do with this. Let them go and we can all leave here smiling.”
The bandits laugh.
“You think we’re going to let a girl tell us what to do?”
Priscilla wears a blank expression.
“I’m just trying…”
Before Priscilla could finish her sentence, she is interrupted by one of the bandits, who casts a spell.
“Silver arrow!”
A magical silver arrow flies at Priscilla who narrowly avoids it. Priscillas expression gets more serious.
“You shouldn't have done that…”
The bandit who casted the spell turns to the other bandits.
“Get her! Everyone cast your arrows!”
The bandits all begin to raise their arms and start rapidly casting spells at priscilla.
‘Jaeger Technique: Cat’s Whiskers’
Priscilla narrowly dodges all of the spells thrown at her at fast speeds. It’s almost as if it's done instinctively through reflex and without her input.
‘This is a useful technique, but I can’t use any offensive abilities while in the ‘cat’s whiskers’ state. I can’t dodge an impossible situation either. I need to switch to offence, fast.”
The bandits seem shocked as their attacks continue to miss.
“Who is this girl?”
Priscilla prepares just as the flurry of spells slows down slightly.
‘Now!’
Priscilla jumps to the next container and begins casting spells at the bandits, knocking some of them backwards. However, she has to keep dodging due to the amount of spells heading towards her and has no time to cast any offensive spells.
‘Damn it. If this was one on one, it would be too easy. But there’s a lot of them.’
Priscilla prepares herself to use her family crest.
“Summersteen crest ‘Master-at-arms’, activate.”
Suddenly, a bunch of floating muskets surround Priscilla. As Priscilla dodges the spells coming towards her, the muskets begin firing. After each shot, the musket that fired spins around and reloads. As Priscilla fights the bandits, Cole talks to Mason.
“Mason. These ropes may be magic, but they’re loose. Let’s try to get out of this place before we get killed.”
Mason shakes his head.
“If we start wandering around, we’ll be targeted by the bandits. Besides, I trust Priscilla.”
Priscilla keeps taking out the bandits one by one, until only one injured bandit remains.
“You’re supposed to be a student. How can one student take us all on? Just who are you?”
Priscilla aims a spell at the injured bandit.
“That’s classified.”
Priscilla fires the spell. Now that the threat has been dealt with, Priscilla turns her attention to Mason and Cole and begins untying them.
“This was a one time only thing. Next time you guys are in trouble, you’re on your own.”
Mason issues a thanks.
“Thank you.”
Priscilla ignores this as she appears annoyed.
“Next time, think twice before following strange men around and nearly get killed. I expected better from both of you.”
Mason and Cole stand up, now unbound. Priscilla sternly issues a fearful warning to both Mason and Cole.
“By the way, you two, if you tell anyone about this or about me, I will kill you. It doesn't matter how nice you are, my mission comes first.”
Priscilla turns her focus to Geese, who is still tied to the chair.
“There's only one last problem.”
Priscilla grabs one of her muskets and points it towards Geese. Mason puts his hand on the musket and quickly lowers it.
“Wait, don’t kill him.”
Priscilla seems confused by Mason.
“Why not? He’s a possible jeopardy to my mission.”
Mason thinks about the things Geese did and the kind of person it is apparent that Geese is. He tries to think of a reason.
“He doesn't need to die. He can just leave this warehouse and never tell anyone about what happened here.”
Priscilla responds coldly.
“Negative.”
Mason tried to think of another reason. Cole can see that Mason doesnt understand the situation and begins to talk with him.
“Mason, she made up her mind the second she entered this warehouse. She was never going to let anyone leave this warehouse alive other than us.”
Mason looks at the cold killer in Priscillas eyes as she fixates on Geese, who has already accepted his fate.
“People like him don't deserve to learn magic.”
Priscilla aims the musket at the helpless and tied up Geese.
