Welcome to the Recruitment Operation!
"Alright, let's quickly ascend and pick up all the stragglers!"
"Understood!"
"Roger that."
"Leave it to me!"
Harbel and his team rapidly ascended from the 10th floor to
the 20th and then the 30th. Incidentally, they had already
collected all the Jackpots, the bosses of the 30th floor, so
defeating them would yield no rewards.
"Ah, there you are. We're asking everyone to join us, but could
you please make it to at least the 60th floor? If you retire
there, we'll give you 1 million Gin unconditionally!"
"Alright, I'm tired of just hanging around here."
They continued their ascent, searching every corner for
lingering examinees.
Leon checked his phone and found that the remaining
examinees were gathered in the safety zone on the 40th floor.
Meanwhile, on the 60th floor, Alexia was leading 20-person
raids, guiding groups to the next level as they gathered.
"Alright, it's your turn! Let me be clear, once you proceed,
keep moving forward!"
"Yeah, we know! We're here to clear this thing!"
"It seems to be going smoothly so far!"
Aali said, slightly worried.
"Hey! We were here first!"
"No way! We got here before you!"
"Come on, we're all going up anyway, let's cooperate!"
"Shut up! Who do you think you are?"
As one of them tried to punch Alexia, Garcia shouted, "Hah!"
The place fell silent.
"Alright, sorry... go ahead."
"Yeah, thanks..."
It seemed things were going relatively well on the upper
floors too.
On the 40th floor, 34 people were waiting.
"Wait, isn't someone missing?"
Nell asked, looking worried.
"That's impossible! I checked carefully..."
Leon said, looking a bit flustered.
"Leon, it's okay! I'll retire and go look for them. In the
meantime, get the other 30 people up to the 50th floor! That
alone will take more than three days."
"Huh? You're going alone?"
"If it looks like we won't make it in time and you have enough
people, you can go on ahead!"
"No, I'll definitely wait!"
Harbel lightly bumped elbows with Leon and made a fist
bump.
"Retire!"
Harbel shouted without hesitation!
Harbel checked the examinees' floors on his phone and saw
that the number of people on the lower floors had increased
again.
"Huh? Why are there so many people down here? Oh, are
people who retired from the upper floors coming back...? At
this rate, we'll never get anywhere..."
Harbel decided to wait at the lowest level for the time being.
The current distribution of examinees was as follows:
Remaining days: 14
In the 80th floor safety zone:
32 out of 40 waiting for the next group (8 retired)
⇒ 50 people can ascend to the 90th floor
On the 70th floor:
20 out of 30 waiting for the next group (overflow from the previous 40, Garcia's party is here)
⇒ 40 people can ascend to the 80th floor
On the 60th floor:
0 out of 20 waiting for the next group
⇒ 30 people can ascend to the 70th floor
On the 50th floor:
10 out of 10 waiting for the next group
⇒ 20 people can ascend to the 60th floor
On the 40th floor:
28 people (Leon and the others are here)
⇒ 10 people can ascend to the 50th floor
On the 1st-30th floors:
13 people (Harbel is here)
At this rate, they should be able to bring at least one person
to the 40th floor within three days.
Harbel assumed he would quickly find someone among the
13 people, but the retirees had lost their will to fight and had
given up.
"Seriously... isn't there anyone who will come with me?"
As Harbel was at a loss, he spotted a woman squatting in the
20th floor safety zone.
This was his last chance...
