Welcome to the World of Plunder!
"23rd floor, see you at 3 PM!"
"Got it!"
Leon observed his surroundings.
Garcia is a major threat!
Better be careful approaching Harbel!
Nell is difficult to handle solo.
Clarissa can go solo but needs healing.
Tact is... well, whatever.
Alexia is a show-off, but his skills are mediocre at best. He
seems to specialize in magic swords, but his magic control
is far inferior to Harbel's.
Kasura is a ninja, huh? His swift actions and martial arts are
fundamentally trained. He can use magic that mimics
ninjutsu fairly well.
Aali is a mage like me, with the rare four elements of fire,
wind, water, and earth. It's a bit of a pain that she lacks light
or darkness, but her magic control is above average, and her
elemental manipulation is smooth, making for good magic.
Gris is a child, but...
Is he a necromancer? He seems to specialize in summoning
magic. His magic control is quite good for his age, and he
seems to have a considerable amount of magic.
"Yo, Leon!"
"Oh, Harbel!"
They lightly bumped fists.
"What are you doing?"
"I was checking out everyone else's stats."
"How were they?"
"Kasura, Aali, and Gris seem quite capable. If we were to
form a party, those three would be more useful."
"No, I want to value friendship over usefulness."
That's just like him... unbearably...
"Come on, take a look!"
"Alright."
Gris is a necromancer, huh? He can control corpses and
summon monsters with magic circles to fight!
Kasura is a ninja, huh? It's interesting how he manipulates
magic to look like ninjutsu!
Aali seems to use regular magic, but with four elements, her
basics are solid. His elemental manipulation is a good
reference!
"Yeah, they're all amazing!"
"Right?"
"But I want to go with the five of us!"
"Alright..."
"Hey! Give it here!"
"Don't mess with me!"
"You don't deserve such a good weapon with your weak
skills, do you?"
"Just hand it over!"
"Try and take it if you can! We've come this far too! We'll take
you on!"
"Heh, interesting!"
"Leon, look at that!"
"Looks like a latecomer group arrived. They're already
plundering! Let's ignore them!"
"No!"
"Huh? What are you talking about? There's no benefit to
helping them, you know?"
"It's not about profit!"
"Fine, do what you want! I don't know you!"
"Yeah, I'll go alone!"
Harbel strode into the middle of the two quarreling teams.
"Stop this plundering!"
"Huh? Who are you?"
"Hey! Let's run while we can!"
"Yeah, got it!"
While they were talking, the attacked team escaped.
"They got away because of you!"
"Yeah."
"Don't just 'yeah' me! I'll kill you!"
"No!"
"Is this guy an idiot? He's crazy!"
"I can't deal with this lunatic. Let's go!"
"Phew."
"Harbel... don't 'phew' me!"
"But I stopped the fight!"
"Ugh..."
This is what I can't imitate... something... something... kill...
"Leon! What's wrong? Let's go!"
"Yeah..."
"I have something to do, Harbel. Go on ahead!"
"Roger!"
Leon went off on his own and found the team that was trying
to plunder earlier.
"Hey! I have no grudge against you, but could you refrain
from doing unnecessary things?"
Leon's face was as cold as ice as he froze their feet.
"Hey! What's going on? Help me!"
"Rest there for a while!"
He glared at them with cold eyes.
"So, the boss on the 30th floor is?"
"Jackpot?"
"Jackpot, like the one in casinos?"
"Maybe it's full of money."
"That's impossible..."
"I am Jackpot! The current carryover is 132 million Gin.
If you defeat me, it's all yours! But be warned, only the one
who lands the final blow gets it! Now, battle start!"
"Heh, you've got interesting ideas!"
"Trying to incite infighting with money, huh?"
"How foolish! There's no way we'd betray each other for
money..."
"Well, there seems to be one exception!"
"Oh..."
Only Tact seemed eager to land the final blow.
"Isn't it obvious that we defeat it together and split the
reward?"
Harbel said as if it were a given.
"Haha! The trap is that you become too greedy to do that!"
"Exactly!"
"Well, I expected Harbel to say that!"
"It's insidious how they set the reward higher than the first-
place prize money..."
First, Aali created a domain with wind magic, containing
Jackpot's movements.
Then, Kasura attacked with ninjutsu, Clarissa with dark magic, and Alexia with her magic sword simultaneously.
"Leave the rest to me!"
While everyone else was attacking, Harbel crossed his arms
in front of his body, concentrated his magic, and mixed dark
and fire magic in his hands.
"Black Flame Fist!"
"Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah!"
He unleashed a barrage of punches with tremendous force.
The black flames struck Jackpot with incredible impact, then
erupted into a blaze, turning it to ash in an instant.
"Hoho, not bad!"
"Harbel, that's amazing!"
"Fire!"
Tact's final Fire spell hit the charred Jackpot and shattered it!
"Yes! I got the last hit!"
Tact was overjoyed, but everyone else stared at him coldly.
"Haha, I know, I'll distribute it properly..."
Tact was reluctant to press the app's distribute button.
"Here you go."
Harbel easily pressed it from behind.
"Aaaah!"
"Easy, right?"
"Ugh, my 132 million Gin..."
Tact was teary-eyed with regret.
"No, it wasn't yours!"
"Haha!"
Harbel and the others decided to rest on the 30th floor for a
while.
"Harbel, where did you learn that technique?"
"Garcia taught me!"
"Huh? That Garcia?"
"He's quiet and unpredictable..."
"That's not true, he showed me other techniques too!"
"Heh, is that so?"
That guy!
He's marked Harbel as his!
I kind of understand how he feels...
"I told you Garcia is dangerous, you shouldn't get too close!"
"Oh, sorry..."
I need to strengthen my vigilance against Garcia...
I need to thoroughly train Harbel in hand-to-hand combat and
knife skills while we have the chance...
"Harbel, let's continue your hand-to-hand and knife training
while we're on the 30th floor!"
"Okay."
