"That's Chunks!"
Just as another examinee was about to challenge the 4th
checkpoint, Chunks appeared from the lift.
"Who are you?"
"Hi, it's time for you little chicks to leave~"
Chunks, as always, attacked the examinees in a playful
manner.
"Chill Gale Twister!"
The examinees were frozen in an instant.
"No, there's one left!"
"Oh, you avoided that, huh? You don't seem like just another
chick!"
"Someone like you should die here!"
The examinee said that, took some distance, and stretched
out his hands in front of him.
"Blizzard Spears!"
Countless ice spears were fired at Chunks.
"Hi, too bad!"
All of them melted and disappeared before reaching Chunks's
body due to the heat around him.
"Water and fire attribute attacks don't work on him!"
Harbel unconsciously joined forces with the examinee.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Harbel, a fellow examinee. I've met him once before,
and he beat me to a pulp..."
"I'm Leon. You just said that water and fire don't work on
him?"
"His name is Burst Chill Chunks, a rookie crusher."
"Burst Chill?"
"I can't explain it in detail right now, but you can think of
it as an ability that can dramatically enhance magic."

"Leon, why don't we team up?"
"Team up... I don't like to hang out with others, but it seems
like that's the only way here."
"Leon, nice to meet you!"
Harbel smiled brightly.

Chunks suddenly changed his expression.
"Know your place! Die!"
"Burst Gale Twister!"
A tremendous scorching hot tornado flew towards Leon and
Harbel.
"Damn, this is crazy!"
"Void Shift!"
Leon grabbed Harbel's arm and swapped places with a tree
nearby.
The tree was swallowed by the tornado and evaporated in
an instant.
"What's with that power?"
"Leon, thank you! Was that void magic just now?"
"Yeah, can Harbel use void magic too?"
"Yeah, I'll give it a try."
"Void Shift!"
Harbel swapped places with a dust box behind Chunks.
He did it just by looking once...
"Chunks! I'm going to kill you! Come on!"
Leon provoked him,
"You little chick, I'll turn you into cinders!"
"Rocky Enclosure!"
Leon chanted before Chunks.
A huge rock wall surrounded Chunks in a circle.
Chunks calmly walked forward, and the rock wall melted and
a hole was opened.
"What a guy!"
"Die!"
Chunks's murderous intent was completely directed at Leon.
Just as Chunks's arm reached out towards Leon,
Harbel, from behind Chunks,
drew out [FeatherEagle-HC01] and fired it.
The bullet went straight towards Chunks's back.
"Too bad!"
The bullet was blocked and melted before it reached Chunks's
back.
Harbel fired four more bullets in succession, but all of them
were blocked.
Is that the end of it?
The moment Leon thought so,
Nell and Clarissa simultaneously fired their guns from the
left and right.
Furthermore, Harbel fired magic bullets at Chunks in
succession.
"You fools! I'll melt everything!"
"No, I won't let you!"
Leon said that,
"Blizzard Base!"
A large amount of ice appeared at Chunks's feet, but it
evaporated in an instant and the surroundings became
invisible.

Several bullets hit Chunks.
"Damn it, this Chunks-sama, such a little chi..."
Chunks fell down as it was and couldn't move.
"We did it! Leon!"
"Harbel and the others are amazing too!"
The four rejoiced.
Harbel and Leon high-fived each other as they passed by.
"Shall I kill him?"

"Seriously? It won't bother anyone if you kill someone like
this."

best, right?"

"Then, what are you going to do?"
"I'll take him to my master and have him handed over to the
police."

Leon went straight to the checkpoint.

According to the master, the police have a special prison for
dual users in the back department.

At the factory, there was a reception area with a lady sitting
there,
"Examinees, please come this way."
"Harbel, Nell, Clarissa, you have passed. Please proceed to
the venue."

"We have confirmed your sufficient ability in the battle with
Chunks just now."
"Chunks..."
"Well, it's okay if we passed."
"Here is the map to the venue. It's quite a distance, so please
hurry!"
"The Marule Volcano at the venue is like a big island. It seems that the entrance there changes its location every year. You can't get a detailed map until you reach the 4th checkpoint."
"Shall we fly right away?"
