Happy Birthday!!!

I absolutely love birthdays.

It’s not that I’m especially attached to my own,

but I adore the birthdays of my family, my friends, my partner—everyone I care about.

Because, honestly, aren’t birthdays just wonderful?

They mark the day a person came into this world—

the moment a new life began on this planet Earth.

What an incredible day that is.

When you think about it, every single day is someone’s birthday.

Every day, somewhere in the world, a celebration is happening.

Someone is blowing out candles for the years they’ve lived,

sharing cake and laughter, wearing their most radiant smile.

And so, I want to say this:

Hey, you—whose birthday is today.

Happy Birthday.

I’m so glad you were born into this world.

Just by being here, you make the people around you smile.

You bring warmth and light to their hearts.

Your existence is beyond precious—beyond words.

May you, and the ones who mean the most to you,

walk together through a life filled with happiness.

別に自分のが特別に好きってわけでもないんだ。

もちろん、家族や恋人、友だちの誕生日も大好き。

でもさ、誰の誕生日でも素敵じゃない？

だって、その人がこの世界に産まれた日なんだよ？

１つの新たな生命が地球という星に生まれた日。

なんて素晴らしい日なんだろう、誕生日って。

毎日が誰かの誕生日だって考えたら毎日おめでたいってことなんだよね。

きっと今この瞬間も誰かがどこかで誕生日を祝っている。

重ねた年齢分のろうそくの灯を消してケーキを食べてるんだ。

とっておきの笑顔と一緒にね。

だから私は伝えたい。

今日が誕生日のそこのあなた！お誕生日おめでとう！

あなたがこの世界に生まれてきてくれてとても良かったよ。

あなたがいてくれるだけで周りのみんなが笑顔になる。

周りのみんなが温かい気持ちになるんだよ。

あなたの存在がどれだけかけがえのないものか言葉では表現できない。

あなたとあなたにとって大切な人たちが幸せな人生を歩めますように。
