I accepted a mysterious soul as my master

Three years have passed. Fig was now 4.5 years old, eager to hunt horn rabbits. He and Rakan start wandering in the forest–Rakan has won Fig over from the Great Mother after many tries– searching for prey.

Spotting horn rabbits was easy, thanks to Rakan's sharp eyes that miss nothing in the bushes, and Fig, having a strong and small body, with quick reflexes, made hunting horn rabbits together an easy task for them. But then there were a few adult horn rabbits, moving super fast. Even having quick reflexes was no use to them. Also, Rakan wasn’t lifting a bit of his finger and was standing there like a statue, making it harder for Fig to catch the adults.

"It's all right, Fig, that's it for today. Enough food for today!" Holding ten rabbits in his hands, standing on a tree, seeing Fig trying to catch another one, he then jumped on a rabbit, making it flat.

Fig’s face was turning red, lowering his eyebrows, wide stance, "Rakan, you always interfere in the last prey!" He clenches his fist and then starts beating Rakan’s legs; although Rakan didn't feel anything, he was annoyed.

"Ok! Ok! I won't interrupt you next time," patting Fig’s head,They then dashed towards home,In the middle of running towards home, Rakan didn’t pay much attention to his surroundings, making it a perfect chance for Fig to vanish from Rakan’s sight.

Fig was bouncing in trees, going in random directions. He headed towards the center of the forest without knowing that a big surprise awaited him, enough to change his whole life.

Fig ran deeper and deeper into the forest, and the taller the trees became, some having silver leaves whistling strange melodies,He then stepped on moss, which made him slip from the tree,Falling down, he stepped on the trunk, jumped, and landed safely,Beneath his feet was wet mud spreading all over his clothes.

Forced to stop, breathless, where even sunlight was hard to get, he then saw an ancient structure shaped like a house made thousands of years ago, covered with strange black-colored mana, energy pulsing like a living thing, swirling ominously.

Weirdly, it didn’t harm nor try to scare him, as if it was specifically waiting for a qualified human to come.

Fig was deep within the heart of the ‘Old Soul Ghost Forest’, the first person to step foot inside it after long-forgotten ages. Its secrets were finally going to be explored by none other than a curious child.

He then crawled with his small sturdy body, helping him pass through thick veins and roots until he stood up in a space near the door, thinking, "Ummm, will there really be ancient monsters sealed here like Mother told?" shakes his head, "No regrets then," slowly pushes the door, licking his lips.

Suddenly, a strong wind pushed Fig inside the house,Then an echoing voice came from inside, "Welcome, little one, entering someone’s domain without their personal concern,You have guts with such a body!" Fig gasped, fingers trembling.

In front of Fig was an eternal figure that emerged from thin air, majestic and glowing faintly,His robes were golden despite his soul form, and his eyes were like a liquid rainbow constantly shifting their colors.

"What are you, ghost?"

The ancient soul chuckled, "A soul fragment of mine,Unlike a ghost, I can move objects," his voice was both kind and powerful.

Fig reaches out his hand, but it passes through. "Liar! I can't touch you, so you are a ghost!" The soul smiled.

"Little one, not everything you can’t touch is a ghost. Time has made me untouchable, but not powerless," Fig was frightened.

Then the soul looked into his eyes and asked, "See, it's been millions of years since I last talked to people.. How about you become my disciple?"

"...." Fig was completely shocked, then hesitated for a little and responded, "Make me a disciple? Can you make me stronger?"

"Only stronger? Sigh, little one, thinking of little things,I can make you strong enough that there will be no competition among your peers." He then extended his spectral hand.

Fig's heart was pounding. He didn’t fully understand his situation, but something inside his heart burned. "Alright," nodding, "teach me, Master."

The ancient soul smirked, his radiance growing brighter. "Then my disciple, come back tomorrow. Tell at home that I will be going on a journey."

And so, after accepting his one and only master, Fig sprinted back home.

He was smiling; it was probably the best day of his life. He was extremely excited to tell his family members what he experienced today.

But when he reached his home, he saw a scene that he had never imagined, even in his wildest dreams.
