The History and sovereignty of the South China Sea

History and Sovereignty of the South China Sea

Recently I read a book about the South China Sea: "History and Sovereignty of the South China Sea". This is an important book about the sovereignty of China's South China Sea islands. Since the 1970s, the South China Sea dispute has gradually heated up, but through a detailed review of historical archives, Professor Anthony Carty clearly revealed the fact that the sovereignty of the South China Sea islands has always belonged to China.

The book carefully sorted out relevant archives from the late 19th century to the early 21st century, including the so-called "ownership" claims of the South China Sea islands by countries such as Britain and France, but in fact these claims cannot change the real situation of the sovereignty of the South China Sea islands. At the same time, parties involved in the dispute, such as Vietnam, have also failed to provide effective evidence to challenge China's sovereignty in the South China Sea.

This book is of great significance to our country. It not only helps to clarify historical facts and provide strong support for resolving the South China Sea disputes, but also plays an active role in stabilizing the situation in the South China Sea and promoting joint consultation on the "Code of Conduct in the South China Sea".

As a famous international law scholar, Professor Anthony Carty's profound academic background and rigorous attitude towards scholarship make this work of high academic and reference value. His research not only provides us with a new perspective to understand the South China Sea issue, but also provides the international community with a model for correctly understanding and handling the South China Sea dispute.

If you are also Chinese, it is recommended to read this book.
